Jackie Robinson West Little League World Series.

:smh: @ the kids being stripped of their tittle.

They still played some damn good ball and no one will ever take that away from them :nthat:

I know a lot of teams be bending that district rule. I know kids that were playing in the wrong district here

coach petty as hell for that ****

Of course the person that snitched is the coach of a team that got blown out by JRW...

Smh..

And that district crap is just bull... Nobody follows district rules. that's how these super teams are formed... That's why the same handful of high schools in a city are good year after year and they're sending players to college year after year...

I hate how people are always policing amateur sports... From the NCAA down to the LLWS these people are making millions off these players, yet enforce rules when it benefits them..

I hate it.

I always liked that LL was done by location and parts of a city. Thought it was a cool caveat vs the AAU culture

Team that originally snitched was using the same practice

you can't make this up

Little League and High School aren't really the same thing.  You can make a choice to go to which school, but LL you play in the district you live in.  I know it is enforced with the leagues in my area.

I'm kind of confused by this statement: "I hate how people are always policing amateur sports... From the NCAA down to the LLWS these people are making millions off these players, yet enforce rules when it benefits them..". Little League probably made a lot of money selling JRW merchandise, but how did it benefit them to enforce the rules now?  If anything, it kinda stains their organization that they didn't catch it in the earlier rounds.

@isu 42 , Idk where your from, but in my city the school you go to is determined by the district you live in.. That's from elementary school on up...

But that doesn't stop kids from jumping from district to district or city to city to play on a "better" team that will garner them more attention... It's a common practice..

Team that originally snitched was using the same practice  you can't make this up

You can't make that up. Disgusting hypocrisy...Thats the way of the world unfortunately, cheat until it doesn't benefit you, then snitch on everyone else.. Kinda selfish of that coach...

That's what I was saying. Kids can open enroll into another school district (that's their "choice") while in little league they can't make that decision.

Lol.. Nah. That's not how public schools work..

You go to school according to the district you stay in.. It ain't no gray area..

People bend the rules to go to school anywhere they want, obviously.. But high schools arent like colleges where you choose where you want to go, it's predetermined by your location...

Is it just me, or is there always some kinda scandal or cheating going on in the LLWS? Seems like every season there's something shady going on..

This is BS.

a lot of HS athletes live 4 blocks from a normal HS, but they catch 2 buses and a train just to go to a private school outside of there boundary.

Private schools have no restrictions regarding boundaries

(Unless put in place on their own)

Sucks, but, they cheated and got busted.

 at people trying to justify it.

Especially the "why did the losing coach report them? Sore loser" comments you see on social media.

I'll be the first to say that do what you have to do to win, whatever you have to do. However, if you are skirting the rules, you get away with it... great. You get busted, face the pied piper.

Must be different in Iowa bc you can open enroll to any school you want. If you're in HS you have to sit out 90 days from sports. Dudes sit out football to play for a better basketball program all the time.
