WARNING:

Let me make this clear from the jump: ALL COMMENTS MOCKING THE WNBA (or women's sports) OR DISRESPECTING WOMEN WILL EVENTUALLY BE DELETED, AND COULD RESULT IN WARNINGS/BANS (depending on the severity of the comment, or the frequency of the same person having comments that get deleted, etc).

THIS IS TO BE TREATED LIKE A TEAM THREAD. You already know that if you have something sideways to say about the Cavs, say it in the NBA thread. Lebron haters thread? Fair game. But in the CAVS thread? No. SAME CONCEPT HERE.

If you have a positive reply that also includes something mocking, the comment will not be edited; it will be deleted as soon as I get to it.

If the thread ends up being just me replying a few times a year, then let it be that.

AND HERE IS THE 2016 NATIONAL TV SCHEDULE, WHICH KICKS OFF TONIGHT.

My personal favorite player in league history (Taurasi) is BAAACCCCCKKK, and here she is a couple years ago shooting over one of the more overrated players in league history.

That's right, I think CP3 is overrated. Talented, but as a Sparks fan, I've obviously been watching her as long as she's been in the league, and she's not the one. Very unique skillset, but she goes Kobe too often, thinking she has to do everything herself, and it has cost us too many times.

If you have favorite players, who?

elena delle donne was a personal favorite, strictly because i think she's hot.

i do root for danielle adams and sydney colson though

I ain't mad.

Maya Moore, Delle Donne, Kristi Toliver, and Diana

:pimp:
I used to watch games a little more frequently when Candace first came in the league

Man, Maya Moore really is something else.

I never miss a chance to watch. Already helped her team to a championship. Could do it again this year, but I really don't see anyone taking down Phoenix.
Regular season is over now
Nah, WNBA is during the summer. 3 games going on right now, actually, w/ my Sparks playing the Mercury later.

Great thread, never gave much attention to women's b-ball until my daughter started playing basketball. Now I have a real respect for the skill these women have.

Use to watch WNBA heavy in the inaugural years.

Cynthia Cooper was a flat out beast.

Those Comets teams were fun to watch.

I still follow certain players and I check for WNBA finals but my interest has waned heavily over the years.

Maya Moore, Diana Taurasi and Elena Delle Donne though.

Not literally but as in tomorrow is the last day of the regular season. I watch quite a bit of wnba...I wasn't trollin

Nah, I didn't think you were trolling.

Timing definitely could have been better, but we've still got the postseason & Finals.

Then maybe bring it back next season.

I still have yet to see a player dominate like Coop did when the WNBA started. Flat out beast!

Gonna have to agree on CP3...great player, but something isn't quite there. She'll always be #2 to Mique in my book as the greatest Lady Vols. Speaking of, it's a shame the way her personal struggles derailed her career. Guaranteed 20-10 every night. At her peak, I'm taking her over Catchings too.

I think Angel Mccoughtry is a monster too. Fun to watch

Comets straight manhandled the league in the beginning, them vs the liberty in the finals

Holdsclaw on the mystics was dope, I went to a few games back in the late 90s/early 2000s... Even had a mystics t shirt

Holdsclaw reminded me of a younger Swoopes, in how smooth she looked, how effortlessly she could score.

Her brief time w/ the Sparks, I thought for sure she would lead us back to the Finals, but like you said, that depression. :\

Holdsclaw & Swoopes were just so smooth.

Coop, though, as the game neared the end, she would just turn it up, on both sides of the ball. Dominant.

I just started watching the WNBA this year and actually got to meet Nancy Lieberman which I thought was cool. I dont have a favourite team or player yet, but everyone on the Atlanta Dream can be ruled out by default.
