What happened to the Remix?

:lol: the original was on their first album then they did the remix and released it as a single for the second album

I still don't know about the R. Kelly tho :lol:
 
Oh I think They Like Me Remix was HARD :x

R. Kelly said years back that he was the one that started doing remixes. First remix I heard was his old **** during 12 Play. Bump N Grind, Sex Me and a couple other joints. That was 1990. Puff stole that **** too :smh:

I was just having this convo with my boy a few weeks ago. I too miss the remixes where there was a completely different beat but the them of the song remained the same. Bad Boy had that on lock in the mid to late 90's. They had some of the best remixes period.

I can't even remember the last original remix I really liked.
 
Khaled got some gems to his name, can't even front on that...I feel like at one point (when everyone went gold or plat) the 'remix' was always the next logical step to a hit single...now it seems people are trying to put out another single to stay relevant.  

Diddy low key disrespectful on multiple remixes. 
 
I think now its more common to have a part 2 instead of calling it a remix. Maybach Music series is a great example.
