Hey guys, Jordan III's are far from my expertise, so I can really use your guys' help.

These are the only pics I have to work with:

Thanks guys! Any help is appreciated.

I realize these pictures are not ideal, but they're all I can get a hold of.

Again, any help is appreciated.

Thanks, guys! - Brian

I agree. These look like fakes that someone used for beaters. The elephant print looks brown and the engravings are weird, the inside of the air bubble looks like it's the wrong color, the shape is off. Too many questionable things..

Even if they are legit, they aren't worth more than $60-$80 due to the condition.

judging from just these pix. I would stay away.. More pix are needed for 100% but I think these may be fakes.. Need to see a good tongue and side shot.
Hey Timmy, I decided to check out another pair, this time with tons of pics. I hope you have better news for me on these:

Can you guys educate me more on 3's?

After looking through over 20 threads, the two things I picked up were the height of the EP on the heel, and the tongues. I've tried guessing even before reading the results and I'm completely clueless on the heel height. It must be more subtle than I'm imagining. And I keep seeing such a variety of tongues on the legit pairs. I've seen how bad the tongues on the fakes are, but some of the fakes on here have had better tongues then some of the legit pairs.

There's a lot of factors to help legit check 3's now remember this advice may not help you if you were to lets say buy a pair from 06 or something, but the newer ones look for wrong colored elephant print, high ep cuts on heel, shiny tumbled leather on some, choppy tongues, incorrect font of tag of shoes

Also widows peaks don't always mean if a pair is fake or not
That's what scared me at first was there was a tiny widow's peak and I initially thought they were no-go's because of it. But it's good to know that's not a dead giveaway.

Last pair looks good to me, first pair definitely looks off
It looks off to me too, but do you think it's because of the lighting? It's done inside, and at night, so most times it'll reflect a yellow hue.

Now that I have a pair to compare them to, in hands and in person, I'll have a better idea. I'm still considering checking them out because he's got them for pretty cheap because there's no box. And aside from the yellowing white rubber by the toe, I didn't see any midsole cracking, so I think this pair has a good shot at some cleanup.

If I were you, id stay away from the first pair.. I can pretty much guarantee that they are fakes. The EP is the wrong color, the leather looks dull and isn't tumbled like it should be, the shape looks off. I think the midsoles have been repainted also

First pair is fake, elephant print height is too high and print is thick

most recent pair is legit, good details, elephant print is on point. irregularities between the prints from left shoe to right shoe are normal
