Killing someone at ANY AGE is killing someone. If by "catching heat" you mean the law obviously the rules would say no. I don't care about that though not is that what I'm addressing. The law is also allowing a cop to gun down a random person. I'm not letting that dictate my views of right and wrong or "less wrong"
Well no one in this case died. My point is that "kids being kids" is commonly used to deflect responsibility from bullies. That can't be used in this case where the perp is 18 and an ex-con.

MAN this took me back to my sophomore year in high school 2000, it was finals week and all the gym classes (i think it was three classes)were taking there test in the cafeteria so it was super packed like 90 kids maybe more or less... i walk in and theres this gang member that EVERYBODY WAS SCARED OF yelling at this dude(oliver) ii really don't know how to describe the guy thats getting yelled at so I'm just gonna say a dude thats slow, i sit down at a table and just watch this guy keep yelling at oliver and everybody around is just laughing at the whole deal..   then this bully just pushes oliver on the floor and pops him in the face AND THE WHOLE CAFETERIA JUST BURST IN EVEN LOUDER LAUGHS....without even thinking twice i got up and walked straight up to the bully and put a beating on that *** i left the dude on the floor bleeding helped oliver up since he was still crying on the floor and literally went back to sit down, when the teachers walk in about 10 min later and asked what happened i told mr stephens i ****** him up for picking on people... they took me to the principals office he asked me what happened and i told him he literally just smiled shook my hand and said everybody's scared of him i laughed and said not me..... olivers parents get there and they told me thank you like a million times then they said there son was autistic hell i didn't know anything about that then....i didn't even get punished for it the bully got suspended...the next day oliver came up to me and said your my friend i was like yea i go to dap him up but he missed lol we worked on it everyday till he got it right, after that day other people started talking to oliver and telling him hi even my homies started talking to oliver me and him are still good friends.... about 3 weeks after i beat that bully up his older brother shot me 3 times its all good though ill do it again if i had too.....sorry for the long read i just got really heated seeing this

My fault if I offended anybody that this hit close to home to...I was just basically saying it's three sides to a story. Dude side of the story is somebody called him over to get the autistic kid out and took him as being drunk. The kid swung and missed and we see what ensued. He is 18, the kid was 16. 18 is still a kid IMO and even though what he did was OD, I dnt feel like y'all dudes who think he should lose his life, I'm sorry.

Dawg, the ****...

18 is a legal adult. **** all that doing time and learning from it. The kid who was beaten ain't going to learn any damn lessons.

What kinda **** you smoking, b.

Theres ALWAYS someone trying to cut the scumbags a break. Why on earth would you give this guy any benefit of any doubt?

Dude doesn't deserve to die, but this ain't no "kids will be kids" matter. What if this was YOUR kid who was beaten?

Would you leave court saying "Well, kids will be kids I guess..." ?

Props to you, dude :pimp:
I hate reading stuff like this, it's genuinely heartbreaking. Watching that video was terrible, twas on the verge of tears.

Been working with autistic adolescents for the longest. Huge Shout out to those that parent these individuals and try new ideas to help better their upbringing.
It definitely raises the bar regarding patience, hope and helps test you as a human being.

if there's three sides to a story why u going off one? and u choose to state the one that is probably least believable

Now I have no idea what you're talking about

I don't care what your age is, you commit a crime to me you're a criminal.

Out of reps bro, but props to you on that. Shame on that bully for taking it to such a ***** *** level getting his brother to shoot you instead of shooting the fair one with you. Can't be to surprised since he already showed he was a cooward :smh:

I was SOOO ******* scared when he started school.

He's moving to a new school in september too so I'm nervous all over again.

I know the feeling man, especially after he gets used to the teacher and you develop a trust with the staff. We went through that after having to leave a school and staff he was with for three years when he started 1st grade. That new school and the teachers were incompetent. Calling me at least once a week to pick him up b/c of behavior. Come to find out they were making **** up becuase they didn't want to do their job and they sort of brought the bad behavior out of him. They even tried to send him to a behavior school last fall.

Wife and I weren't having that so she took him out and started home school for the first two months, lucky for us we found out some info at one of his IEP meetings and we learned that a private school geared towards autism had a program at the behavior school. They have their own school, but they had an extension program at the behavior school. A spot opened up and the school accepted him. They have no affiliation with the behavior school, they just use their facility. In just a few months he improved immensely. At the end of the year we found out the private school was ending their extension program, and the county public school was taking it over. Lucky for us the teachers loved him so much they let us know that he can attend their school and the county public schools will have to pay for it. He starts their next week with the same teachers and will be there until 5th grade. The hardest thing is being able to trust these people. When your child can't tell you everything that goes on in the course of a day it makes it hard. When they know this they can use that to get over on you. All I can say is trust your judgement. My wife didn't like his 1st grade teacher, despite how nice an polite she was on the outside she felt something was off about her.

One of the teachers aides let us know that they weren't always being truthful in what they said about him and his behavior. Actually, one day this same teacher was yelling at another student. The aide said my son didn't like it and he went over and pushed her. Ofcourse they will only tell that part of the story and not the other. Another time, they were leaving the cafeteria. He was trying to go back for something and she didn't understand what he saying. He pulled away from her and his hand hit her eye. When the principle called me, she said he hit her because he didn't want to go back to the classroom. Even though we know he wouldn't just hit someone for no reason, there isn't much we can do without him telling his side.

Just trust your judgement, and let them you are a hands on parent. Hell, pop up to the school just because, that will keep them on their toes also. Good luck man.
