The Brooks thread.

Well, look-uh here! These arrived today and ooooh weee am I excited.  Like the late, great Aaliyah sang, "Hot.  Like.  Fire."!  In keeping with that, shall I hereby proclaim these the "chariots of fire"?  Not sure, but what I do know is Concepts absolutely bodied these.  Hats off to them.  Never thought I'd own a pair of Brooks for casual wear (read:  stuntin'), but here I am.  

Anyhow, as spectabulously executed as this pair is, and as I much as I love them as they stand, I'll be cotdamned if, every time I look at them I don't harken back to @9thWonder23kid  's ingenious idea about the cork mid/outsole.  Damn you son!  If only!  Oh well.  A missed op for sure, but the shoes still came out superbly!

Cork colored sole/outsole was my idea, midsole can stay white...

cork midsole would be cool. I would have settled for anything besides that white outsole. wtf were they thinking? 
 
Yea, gum or dark blue (matching the heel) for the outsole and I would've picked them up, no hesitation. May try a GR Chariot.
 
I hate the cncpt box. if messes up your stacks of boxes because of the size and its heavy and prone to crush regular shoe boxes if they are under them.

This. All my cncpts boxes are on the bottom of the stacks lol.
 
LOL.  mad hate!!!! END is top dog of boxes.  CNCPTS is bottom.  I get it, I get.  It is a nice box though.  But yes, the size differential is the worst.

Cncpts boxes make sense when it's some Ewings or Reebok Pumps, but when it's these Brooks it's like:

Got the concepts in and they are perfect TTS. Very impressed with the quality especially at the price I paid for, definitely won't be my last pair of Brooks.

The quality of the suede is very good, especially at the price point. Although there isn't really much "tech" in the shoe, it still feels very comfy.

Waxed laces were a very nice touch as well.
