The Brooks thread.

Visiting LA for the weekend and picked up my first pair of Brooks from BAIT. As others have mentioned the materials are indeed impressive. The suede is rich, and the leather is soft. The sockliner is leather too. Fortunately my pair's toebox is perfect but it does seem to crease easy though. Anyway, very dope shoe and looking forward to Brooks future collabs/GRs.

Btw I went TTS with my nike runners but I prefer a snug fit.

thanks for the pics and write up,I am waiting for mine to arrive. Do you have any on foot shots yet

Really want to like these collabs so far, but the outsole/midsole both being white is a turn-off for me.

Agree it's not the best look and looked much worse on the recent Bodega x Saucony collab. Even some of the recent LCS Eclat releases have all white, so hopefully it's not a trend. Makes the soles look too chunky, IMO.

I unDS them tonight for he lakers game. Pics came out terrible though bc of lighting. I can post some on feet when I get back.

I see what you guys mean about the out/midsole. The outsole is bone and the midsole white. I feel like the colors flow well. Like the 2 shades of blue, 2 shades of white, and splash of red.

Yeah, that's what customer service told me when I tried to secure a pair. I think the Seattle shop will have them in store today for the grand opening as an "exclusive".
The Centennials were also available at the other BAIT shops in Southern California (Diamond Bar, Orange County, Los Angeles) but you needed to go to the store a week before release and put a $10 deposit to reserve a pair.  Seattle branch has them as a FCFS.

I received my pair in the mail today, and I'm loving the leather and suede on them.  I'll probably try to lace swap with one of the included laces and see how it looks. It feels like it runs TTS, would probably say it's similar (length-wise) as my Onitsuka Tiger Mexico 66s; width-wise they feel wider than the Onitsuka for sure.

I don't have many runners currently in my closet, and those that i've had in the past (Pony, NB) I wore out pretty quick. That's because I love how runners have the comfort and low key (well, depends on the shoe) versatility that can be worn daily.  With these though, I'm going to try to keep them pristine as long as possible.

We have a local streetwear shop called Volume 1ne that will release the Bait x Brooks on Friday. They'll do phone orders after a certain time also. May stop in and see them in person.

^ Those Ubiq look dope especially with the gum sole. Glad they are branching out from the all white midsole/outsole.

The Ubiqs are dope, But unless I can unload my merlots, I'll be passing Hopefully someone takes a swing at the vanguard or another 1 of their lifestyles. Any know the $ they ant for these?

These are going for $140. It says right there in the IG post description..

Definitely going for these. Complete the trifecta of Brooks Chariot collabs

Those Ubiqs look like a nice "business casual" sneaker that can be worn on any grown up occasion. I could certainly add them to my rotation.

The boys at Brooks have given us the heads up that if you’re planning on keeping these as everyday kicks, you might wanna go a half-size down.
I know most guys say to go half size up on Chariots, so I guess TTS will be the way to go?

I go TTS (usual Nike size) with mine. So i'll be going half down with these. Depends how snug a fit you like.

See... you consider your TTS Nike, whereas I consider Nike half size up.  Thanks for the reference!  Repped.

Just curious, if you have other Chariots, what size are you guys going for? Half down from all your other ones? My measured size is 8.5 and that's what I've been getting and it's been perfect, kind of skeptical on going half down from that.

Would this help?

I'm a 10.5 and I got the merlots .5 size down. They're really tight. So tight that I can't wear my normal dri fit no shows with them. But If I wear the regular thin pairs I'm good. I suggest tts. I'm thinking about letting them go

I'm just worried since Brooks actually said to go half size down on the Ubiqs. My TTS 8.5's fit perfect, but those are all suede.

Would this help?

Any comment on sizing compared to Concepts, Baits, or GR Chariots?
