2014 NFC North Trash Talking Thread: Ron Parker-Bears dream dead! Greg Jennings cut!

I want Joe Lombardi fired. The play calling is terrible, we have so many more weapons this year on offense and he has no idea how to draw up a play and spread the field. If you watch most of our plays the receivers are always running to the same area clogging the field, no way they can get open when everyone is in the same spot.

 Oh, you guys.

Maybe it's time to start looking more seriously at the quarterback.

And isn't your HC this great mastermind behind Baltimore's resurgence and SB victory?

Not all on Lombardi. Not at all.

Yup our quarterback is responsible for 3 dropped passes in the endzone.

He ain't playing great but come on now.

In the last two weeks Lombardi has called a shotgun run on 4th and 1 that didn't go to the running back who averaged 6 yards a carry, then he threw the ball 3 straight times from the 2 today.

He's horrible/

Blame whomever you want, but it's not all on Lombardi and like I said about Caldwell...he's a damn offensive coach. Can't just throw Lombardi under the bus without taking a serious look at Caldwell.

No matter who is calling the plays, it's hard to trust Stafford.

Why cant we just go 5 wide and tun 5 yard comebacks like the pats? Thats all they do. We make things too complicated. But we got a game on thursday. Lets take care of business at home. We're lucky to be in the spot that we're in right now. We control our own destiny. Lets catch some fire with these next couple games

I just don't understand how you can't score a touchdown in 2 straight NFL games with today's rules.

Like its damb near impossible.

No matter what defense you are playing.

If you watched all the Lions games I really think your opinion would change, he has no rhythm to his play calling for one. His route trees are terrible, absolutely horrible. His run plays are some of the worst I have seen.

And you are right about Caldwell, him being an offensive coach he should take over the play calling from Lombardi at this point to turn this ship around. Stafford might not be playing so hot but the play calling is not doing anything to help AT ALL. There is to much talent on this team to be this bad on the offensive side of the ball.

But it's not all on Lombardi...I agree, he's not doing very well as OC, but it's not all on him.

And given the alternative in Lombardi, do you guys miss Linehan? Even a little bit?

I'm starting the Lions defense and Alshon Jeffrey tomorrow. I'd normally laugh at somebody who does that, but this seems like a rare case where both could play well without negatively affecting the other. Jeffrey catches Cutler's only TD and throws like an INT and fumbles, or something along those lines.

I think the Lions win big tomorrow.

Can't really call tomorrow's game....

Bears always seem to win these meaningless games and Jay likes to pad his stats.
On the other hand Lions second half collapses/meltdowns are well documented and seem to be an annual tradition.

I'll go with my homer pick but wouldn't be surprised if it goes the other way.

Desperation is a helluva motivator. Coming off back to back loses for the Lions and back to back wins for the Bears, a lot of bad blood between these 2 teams, one has a chance to play spoiler and the other a chance to reclaim first.....I expect this to be a blood bath :nthat:

Haha as much as it truly pains me to write this out, because I had so much hate for Linehan, at this point I would take him over Lombardi in a heart beat. At least our offense was moving the ball and taking shots down field to open it up rather than running a crap offense full of 3 yard outs to the boundary line going nowhere.

As long as the defense shows up, I'm pretty sure the Lions win.

I just need to see our offense show some kind of life though to feel more optimistic about the rest of the season.

Really rooting for the Bears tomorrow. Just because of that lions fan on twitter who went in on BM a couple weeks

then went way overboard called his mom a *****. Internet got too real when BM challenged him to box even said he'd pay

him for it, all just for an apology to his mom. Dude kept upping the ante and BM just kept agreeing. Fan finally stipulated that only after the Bears won three straight.

And made his page private.

Which at the time seemed impossible. Now they're sitting at two and it could be the dude's team that let him down on Thanksgiving.

It'd be sweet poetic justice. Dude would just backout again though. :smh

If the Lions played well and lost the last 2 I'd be confident as hell.

Our offensive line is horrible though and the coaching staff is too stupid to speed the tempo up even though it's the only way we've scored points recently.

I think we win a close one but I wouldn't be shocked at all if we lost.

thank you, we have had ZERO offense.

im expecting a loss tomorrow even though we SHOULD win and need it. If we win, sweet but i still wont be impressed until we get some offense going against decent/good teams because guess what teams are in the playoffs? good ones. Id rather miss the playoffs then play the playoffs and score 2 FG and get destroyed and look like garbage.

Finally some offense but its against the bears. hope we can keep this up for next week

:nerd:

The Falcons and Saints defenses are bad too and we ain't look like this.

This is progress the struggle was real

We need, Warford, Reiff and Nick back ASAP though.
