I don't need a dashiki to be proud of that. If you do, do you.

Moving forward.

Education. Skills. Money management.

Even more base.

Urban farmers markets. After school jobs. 16-22 year old job training centers. Unions. Home ownership for lower middle class. Increased police training.

Personal level

Educate yourself. Gain at least one trade skill. Eat healthier. Criticize everything. Learn your rights. Hold yourself to the same standards you hold others. Self reflection.

I've posted it several times in this thread. Like using the 'previous page' button is foreign to you guys.

And it's not as if in saying I'm the only one to deal with white folk. I'm saying the way you folks are talking 'it's all there fault' old dude said 'know your enemy' after referencing injustice done by white folk.

I'm pleading for level headedness in dealing with race issues I don't understand why that's a bad thing. Tetras the last three pages, hell the entire thread and tell me there isn't a tint of white hate. Like, some of these white Nters, of love to know what y'all think about these last few pages.

What are y'all goals?

Knowledge...but for what? To be the smartest dead guy? Like what are you doing with this knowledge?

Never have I witnessed such sincere hospitality and overwhelming spirit of true brotherhood as is practiced by people of all colors and races here in this Ancient Holy Land, the home of Abraham, Muhammad and all the other Prophets of the Holy Scriptures. For the past week, I have been utterly speechless and spellbound by the graciousness I see displayed all around me by people of all colors.

I have been blessed to visit the Holy City of Mecca. I have made my seven circuits around the Ka'ba, led by a young Mutawaf named Muhammad. I drank water from the well of the Zam Zam. I ran seven times back and forth between the hills of Mt. Al-Safa and Al-Marwah. I have prayed in the ancient city of Mina, and I have prayed on Mt. Arafat.

There were tens of thousands of pilgrims, from all over the world. They were of all colors, from blue-eyed blonds to black-skinned Africans. But we were all participating in the same ritual, displaying a spirit of unity and brotherhood that my experiences in America had led me to believe never could exist between the white and non-white.

America needs to understand Islam, because this is the one religion that erases from its society the race problem. Throughout my travels in the Muslim world, I have met, talked to, and even eaten with people who in America would have been considered 'white'--but the 'white' attitude was removed from their minds by the religion of Islam. I have never before seen sincere and true brotherhood practiced by all colors together, irrespective of their color.

You may be shocked by these words coming from me. But on this pilgrimage, what I have seen, and experienced, has forced me to re-arrange much of my thought-patterns previously held, and to toss aside some of my previous conclusions. This was not too difficult for me. Despite my firm convictions, I have always been a man who tries to face facts, and to accept the reality of life as new experience and new knowledge unfolds it. I have always kept an open mind, which is necessary to the flexibility that must go hand in hand with every form of intelligent search for truth.

During the past eleven days here in the Muslim world, I have eaten from the same plate, drunk from the same glass, and slept in the same bed (or on the same rug)--while praying to the same God--with fellow Muslims, whose eyes were the bluest of blue, whose hair was the blondest of blond, and whose skin was the whitest of white. And in the words and in the actions in the deeds of the 'white' Muslims, I felt the same sincerity that I felt among the black African Muslims of Nigeria, Sudan, and Ghana.

We were truly all the same (brothers)--because their belief in one God had removed the white from their minds, the white from their behavior, and the white from their attitude.

I could see from this, that perhaps if white Americans could accept the Oneness of God, then perhaps, too, they could accept in reality the Oneness of Man--and cease to measure, and hinder, and harm others in terms of their 'differences' in color.

With racism plaguing America like an incurable cancer, the so-called 'Christian' white American heart should be more receptive to a proven solution to such a destructive problem. Perhaps it could be in time to save America from imminent disaster--the same destruction brought upon Germany by racism that eventually destroyed the Germans themselves.

Each hour here in the Holy Land enables me to have greater spiritual insights into what is happening in America between black and white. The American Negro never can be blamed for his racial animosities--he is only reacting to four hundred years of the conscious racism of the American whites. But as racism leads America up the suicide path, I do believe, from the experiences that I have had with them, that the whites of the younger generation, in the colleges and universities, will see the handwriting on the walls and many of them will turn to the spiritual path of truth--the only way left to America to ward off the disaster that racism inevitably must lead to.

Never have I been so highly honored. Never have I been made to feel more humble and unworthy. Who would believe the blessings that have been heaped upon an American Negro? A few nights ago, a man who would be called in America a 'white' man, a United Nations diplomat, an ambassador, a companion of kings, gave me his hotel suite, his bed. ... Never would I have even thought of dreaming that I would ever be a recipient of such honors--honors that in America would be bestowed upon a King--not a Negro.

All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of all the Worlds.

Sincerely,

El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz

Again i ask you whats wrong with having knowledge of self? If you assume that blacks finally getting to know who they are is somehow a threat to white people, therefore 'white hate', then you are the one with the problem.

Hallywood delivering the truth & the issue is a lot of y'all just aren't prepared to hear it and it's not even your fault. I'd suggest delving deeper into the topics being discussed which basically spell out the natural order of things. The conditioning has to be broken away from.

There's nothing wrong with knowledge of self...but ask yourself for what? What's the point if knowing who you are while in the hood? If you still can't pay rent? Roaches still on your floor? I'm preaching things that will quantifiable help us come up.

What point are you making with that photo?

No no, I get it. Your saying when someone preaches peace and love they kill him. Right? When one wants unity the other side tries to destroy, discredit and ultimately kill them....

Lol that comment takes the cake. It's people like you white superiority count on. If the price is right, you'll bow down. I'm done with you man. Apologies for letting the thread be derailed with this dude's trolling

Is that even a  srs question? This is why i called you a troll since this thread started. A couple people knew but they were trying to play devil's advocate or not derail the thread because of your so called skills that they thought you could bring, but your ideology is on some other ****.

Sorry...I'm trying to put money in black communities, trying to put money in black pockets. We can read as much as we want, but books don't pay bills. What are ya'll like eighteen living with mommy? If you don't understand that blacks need money....money....money...can't eat knowledge, can't pay bus fare with "black power." Like....money! What world do ya'll live in?
Either I have a very skewed vision of the world or y'all do, because I can't even fathom someone scaffaing at someone saying 'black folks need more money' what privilege do y'all hold to believe that knowledge is more important in the life of the avg man than money. That reading books while staring at a whole in your wall is a good thing. Have any of you been poor? Not broke, poor. I can imagine a person who grew up poor thinking 'how does that make money' being a bad questions. Like, am I really by myself on this? Peace, love and money. Will any of the Lurkers help a brotha out? Like damn cats in here laughing at making money, that's asinine to me. And no one is saying money over principle...but that's an easy choice when you have a home, when you have parents, when you have a safety net. But, to the kid who lost both parents and lives on the streets, you really going to tell him to learn about Africa before you tell him to learn about carpentry?

That's kind of why I have some fear in this black business movement, getting paid is all good and well but what happens when you give the wrong people too much power, I want people to overcome on actions backed by spiritual willingness not backed by the dollar, please don't get me wrong

I think it is a dangerous thing to give a false since of power to a generation that is simply not ready for it. I'm about innovating, giving people a wealth that they can't spend recklessly.

As a progressive I have a fear that this money over everything propaganda could be counterproductive to preserving culture, if money means more to some people than their own culture could you imagine how easy it would be to replace it as a main focus once people begin to build a stature on it

Supporting black business's is a beautiful thing but I don't think it needs to be our main focus. At least not now

So saying

I don't need Africa to be proud.

Blacks should embrace everyone.

Blacks should make as much money as they can.

Trolling?

I must not understand the purpose of this thread or the term 'trolling.'

I haven't read the last few pages, but I wanted to address some of the historical and scientific stuff that C.Magneto C.Magneto and victor page victor page have been speaking on.

My best bud is a White Jewish dude from Israel, and we tall about this **** ALL THE TIME. He brought up the fact that the original Jews were Black TO ME before I even brought that concept up. Dude is super religious, living in a super Hasidic neighborhood in Brooklyn reppin the hell out of his heritage at all times. Rockin the yamulca on the reg, speaking hebrew all the time connected with all the israelis in the city. Me and him stay building on how Blacks and Arabs largley lost their history through conquest, and how European ideology is based largely on the fear of inevitable exrinction. These are HIS words, and real talk we became best buds just off of a mutual respect for the grind and tryna make it in the world, so the whole historical angle was a surprise to me. This **** is history and facts to him, thi.gs je learned in his homeland from elders, not some kind of conjecture or conspiracy or YouTube video ****.
