I'm 90% the pilgrims came here for religious [economic] freedom

And slavery was a cheap labor force , eventually turning into a dehumanizing moral obligation to oppress a people.


Like, I'm not to up on my familial/ political history...but weren't slaves the Africans who lost wars to other Africans?


Does it make sense that a king just woke up and was like 'well ish, imma be a slave 2morrow?'

Wasn't slavery Africans selling Africans to Europeans? Like, it wasn't white dudes in the bush capturing and selling their brother? I'm almost positive it was brothers selling brothers. Yea...something to be proud of.

Then, statistically, how can we all be descendent from kings? There was only a few Kings in history, some of these ****** walking round are descended from normal ***, lost a war, Africans.

Maybe...I have the history of slavery completely wrong...but I don't think so.

Also...fun fact...slaves were captured from Sub Saharan Africa, not Egypt...see what thirty seconds of research can teach one....


Literally walking into your brothers hit, ripping him from his family and ushering all if them into the hands of someone you know is going to treat them as one would treat a piece of cattle, is to disgusting for me to be proud of.

This is a perfect example as to why we must continue to research history. am1x90xnike am1x90xnike You have surface driven information and you are content with running with that. If you were really knowledgeable about slavery the last thing you would say is the first enslaved Africans were dumb.

But lets get back to solutions and the discussion of black culture in this thread.

African tradition suggests that WE are our ancestors and that we are them. Their essence is embedded in our DNA. According to Professor James Smalls, we are the latest and the most updated version of our past ancestors.

With that said I think it would be beneficial to us to look into and research African spirituality and spiritual systems. The last time enslaved Africans defeated a world power we had a shared and united vision. Jean-Jacques Dessalines, along with the aid of former slaves like Dutty Boukman, was able to get a group of people with little to no resources to defeat France and take control of Haiti becasue they believed in the power of their ancestors.

Most "black" people or African Americans, etc.... frown upon Africa and ancestry worship. Do you all believe we can have real revolution when as a whole we are worshiping that which oppresses us? Not believing in something outside of ourselves, but believing we are the gods and we have the power to create our own realities. Creating OUR heaven while still in this physical realm.

It's not about 'hating' whites or hating anyone for that matter.
 
No. It's about me putting big boi pants going to school so I can get a job make money so my grandmother never makes that call again. So no more black kids gotta live the hell I've seen these last twenty five years the pain, the loss, the frustration, the lonileness the fear. If I don't do shot else in my life no one else in my family will die this young again. He was twenty ******* five. Never again.
 



Even in war we show humanity. Its not about hatred, its about fighting for what is right. White supremacy is wrong so we have to fight.
 
Something to think about in consideration for the title of the thread:

Since English has came about white supremacy is constantly flipping words, given them split meanings etc.

In spanish white is blanco, which is where you get blank from in english. Blank because the melanin deficiency or w/e

The word has been took, flipped, and put on us and now we refer to ourselves as black which essentially means a being that lacks (b-lack) something (in this case melanin)

In most parts of the world anything referring to us usually had variations of moor- , negro-, or mel-  in the root word.

Just an idea but maybe a thread update with melanated culture discussion thread would be more appropriate.
