Anyone ever feel like using a "dumbphone" again?

I've been thinking about it recently.  I don't really spend much time on social networks outside of Twitter and NT, but sometimes I wanna use my phone for what it is, a communication device. Definitely one of the things I'd miss is the GPS however.

Thoughts?

I'm going to go against the grain here and just ask...

Then why don't you just use the smartphone you already have to do nothing but communicate?

Nobody said you had to surf NT/Twitter/Social media on it. The phone doesn't come with these things pre installed. You put them on there...

Uninstall them. No point in going through the hassle of buying an unsupported, outdated piece of technology, when you can just do what you want/need on what you already have.

You can dumb your phone down, by deleting all the stuff you want to go without...

...Or... Does that just make sense to only me?

Man yall don't NEED any of that stuff. It is just convenient. Remember meeting girls off of Blackplanet and having to write down the MapQuest directions? Don't tell me you NEED a damn GPS

I used to drive around while reading mapquest printouts or post-its with directions written on them stickied to my steering wheel. I don't miss that at all.

Might be a initiative of temptation thing, I can't tell you the times I've wanted to get some quality sleep but had to urge to use the internet since it was right there on my phone

People also treat you differently these days if you're not using a smartphone, they almost scoff at you  I had an LG marquee for a while and I was embarrassed to use it in front of people at times smh whatever

hell yeah especially these females I

understand you want to make a post about your turn up

but damn not all day ***** you could have done that **** at home on a night out your supposed to escape

from that but how can you when you bring it along

Went phoneless for a week and a half once after I lost my iPhone. It was so liberating. Felt good having to go back home to check messages/emails. Felt good to be out and no one bugging/calling you. Subconsciously I think phones keep you from relaxing in a way. You're constantly checking/wondering whats new whether its a text message, fb update, tweet, etc.

Still wouldn't give up my phone though. I remember driving somewhere thinking I knew where I was going. 10 miles later, i get lost, and end up going back home lol. Forgot to get the EXACT addressof the business I was looking for on a real big street. That sucked.

I thought people would be kinda impressed to see someone without a smartphone.

I have a dumb phone since I don't want to or my parents don't want to pay for an iPhone plan

Don't even use my phone either

Absolutely deeply saddening to see.

100% disconnected from life. I see it every where. EVERYONE has been compromised and no one seems to notice.

Chances are, I'm talking about whoever is reading this right now.

I thought about it because I was spending so much unnecessary time on my iphone. I ended up just deleting my social media apps but I always come around to downloading them back every now and then.

Broke my Iphone 5s about two weeks back and have been using an old t mobile flip phone. Its crazy when you walk around and see everyone's eyes glued to their phones. Having the brick phone forces you to talk and it shows that technology has really impacted some peoples skills when it comes to talking for a short time w/o checking their phone

The Passport looks dope. If Blackberry had many of the apps I run I'd get one. The classic is screaming my name, but I need VSCO, Fuelband, My Fitness Pal, and Bodyspace apps.
