Anyone ever feel like using a "dumbphone" again?

This phone might be for you, OP.

Classic doe :pimp:

The Passport looks dope. If Blackberry had many of the apps I run I'd get one. The classic is screaming my name, but I need VSCO, Fuelband, My Fitness Pal, and Bodyspace apps.

I'd cop that Passport if Blackberry had a better app selection. That looks slick.

you all know that it's been able to run android APKs since release date though, right?

i've been using google maps, google translate, google news and weather, wells fargo, amex, paypal, ebay, etc

for the entire life of my phone.

^^
Broke my iPhone 5 as well 6 months ago and resorted to a 2006 flip phone to try and save time & Money. F that **** yo . Took me forever with text, can't block contacts, and no NT mobile. Got my phone iPhone fixed the next day..

T9 texting is atrocious :smh:

gps/e911 sure for location services but not for navigation

or i guess you could use some overly expensive proprietary carrier service like VZ navigator

Wasn't aware of that, no.

For all y'all complaining about 100/month bill you can always just buy whatever phone u want outright and subscribe to one of the many 50/month unlimited prepaid plans

smartphones are nice bc i can listen to a podcast on the bus

couldn't do that with on old brick phone

Made my decision and I'm going back to using a Blackberry Bold 9780.

Gonna ditch my iPhone 5 and see how this works for a bit. I'll keep this thread updated with how things have changed for me in terms of productivity, etc.

I've been thinking about it recently.  I don't really spend much time on social networks outside of Twitter and NT, but sometimes I wanna use my phone for what it is, a communication device. Definitely one of the things I'd miss is the GPS however.

Thoughts?

Or....

You can just get some self control....delete that apps...

I definitely thought about that and i did delete the apps.

I'd rather not have the option which is why I chose to get a different phone (plus I miss a physical keyboard).

One thing that those "dumbphones" have over smartphones is solid reception.

I remember my old dumphones would let me continue a phone conversation while riding the first tunnel train stop coming in from an outside stop when i lived in boston and SF. If only my smartphone could do that!

I keep my phone on DnD now so I use it minimally.

I use to play games on my iphone heavy about 2 years ago.. All I use it for now is texting, calling, and music. Not even music for much longer.

Once I get my 120gb iPod Classic it might as well be a dumbphone.

If there's ever a point where im just stuck somewhere not home bored I'd rather think and reflect than play Temple Run.

Still using a Boost Blackberry for obvious reasons. I don't complain.

Strong username-to-post ratio.

Edit: In re: this thread topic, I think about this at least once every month. I'm using a Nexus 4 for the time being, but I feel like copping a dumbphone to see how I do. I've done the deleting of social apps as well, but have re-installed from time to time.

Maybe a 30-Day NT Dumbphone Challenge? Could be the new No Fap. Lol.
