Simpsons Marathon right now on FXX 552 episodes update:Season 25

Can't believe how much of this show I remember all these years later. Also made me remember how much landlines used to be a part of life. Nostalgia level over 9000.

I think the show can last another decade honestly but whenever they do decide to call it quits I like the second spoiler a lot. I don't think they should age though but just acknowledge that they're a cartoon and that people are stupid for taking them serious for so long. Goes perfect with how smart and satirical the show has always been. No one should die. Either that or the whole show should've been a daydream from Maude Flanders

This episode is great because there's just so many classic/top moments.

McBain
Burns as a young kid at the turn of the century
Ralph at the Dentist "Why must you turn my office into a house of lies?"
Dental Plan, Lisa Needs Braces
Burns not remembering Homer
Homer in as Don Homer
Homer thinking Mr. Burns is hitting on him

Ive said" house of lies" so much in my life loooool

I think it should end how it started....like the episode explains the opening sequence.....why bart got in trouble ....why lisa decided to play something different.....marge at the grocery store etc....

Then they come home sit in the couch....

Lisa's Beatles inspired trip
Hired Goons
Homer being shown around Burns' home
Class pictures
Lisa's song
Burns doing the Grinch bit to Smithers
Grandpa as a strikebuster

every scene is classic.

Homer on Kent's show
Burns and Smithers going through all that security only to find a dog in the back door

I'd say it's a close call along with Marge vs. the Monorail as the best episodes.

Show was pure genius. I loved it as a kid, I literally unplugged the phone during new episodes. I honestly think this show contributed greatly to my humor.

Remember when this show only came on Thursday nights? Used to watch them and study for the spelling test during the commercials :frown:

@jon_vitti
The biggest thing to know about Cape Feare is, it was the last time the original guys worked together.

Agent: Hello, Mr. Thompson! (stomps on Homer's foot a few times)
Homer: (stares blankly; to other agent) I think he's talking to you.
