How would your city turn-out, if your "Country" was nuked

Hypothetically speaking, How would the city that you live in fair if your country was targeted by another with nukes

Most on this forum live in the US. It's a large piece of land. So if you're living in an area that's not a major metropolitan area and doesn't have any military strategic stronghold. Your city might not take as hard of a hit.

99.9% there's probably not going to be an advanced warning. So to not set off any panic.

Also the nuke could be smuggled into the country, "FOX: 24" style. not definitively a missile strike

I live between two military bases.

I live in San Diego.

We have three Naval bases that I know of, three Marine bases and an Air Force base about 90 miles away. :smh: We would get hit hard. I'm sure we would be a major target in the event of a nuclear strike in an attempt to disable any response from the pacific fleet.

Outlook: Bleak.

may or may not be a target. I heard a couple years ago that we're a target because of all the roads that run through the state. I doubt we're any where around the top of the list though.
 
Welp, I'd be dead

I live in 757. I have army, navy, coast guard, Air Force, marines, CIA head quarters all within 15-20 minutes of me... Oh and we have the worlds largest naval station. Yep... I'm pretty sure they said we'd be hit first.
 
Vegas isn't really a target for a major military nations attack. It would be some small crazy terror group. We've got Nellis AF and Area 51 nearby. But considering the strip is 3 miles long it would not take a big nuke to wipe us completely off the map and take a lot of New Years Eve casualties.

Went with the Dong-Feng 5 hitting LA just in case China tries to do us dirty.  Far enough from LA to be alright...still hitting the 10 and getting outta California tho.  911 thousand fatalities

Didn't think about it. But I'm less than 20 minutes from an Air Force base, surrounded by water.

according to google maps and assuming it would be targeted (as movies/tv and possibly several realistic plans have demonstrated), I'm 5.2 miles from the White House...i would stand no chance...

and a few years ago in college, it would have been worse, being 4-5 blocks from there

Whole city RIP, and right next to an Air Force base.
