A disk read error occurred vol... Laptop wont start: my music noooooooo

I'm trying to turn on my lap top and it comes to a screen saying
A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+alt+del to recover. I does it restarts then goes to the same thing to recover. It's been like this since yesterday.

Can any cpu heads help???

If I have to very a new laptop Imma be pissed because of losing all of my music :x :smh:

That message usually is one of two things:

1. The hard drive with the operating system on it is damaged

2. The hard drive with the operating system on it has a loose connection.

Easiest way to test this is to boot from your OS cd/dvd and run chkdsk.

Worst case scenario is that your hard drive is damaged and you can't access it anymore.
 
You probably need a new hard drive. There are various way to recover your data, I had to freeze my hard dive to recover some of my stuff. If you're not tech friendly best bet is going to a computer shop and asking them about this. same thing happen to my friend's tobisha, they were able to recover his data but in my opinion it was a little pricey. 
 
did you drop it though? lol that sounds fun



nah might need a defrag. Might have a registry error. did you see if it will boot in safe mode?
