Gaudy leathers suck, regardless of brand.

fourth year in a row rocking with this penfield stapleton. need a nice solid backup finally this year though
 
don't know where you are located but might need something warmer. that's fine when its like 30 40 degrees but 20 or below and that is no good. maybe get a Canada goose or a marmot for the really cold weather
 
Pelle Pelle is such a NY thing.

That being said, its not "played out". Its just old fashion that isnt up to todays "standards". Wear one and people would think your stuck in 02' with Oh Boy playing in the background.

not even man, it depends how youre rocking it, looks quite fine to me. Joints still command 500+ around these parts, and people be buying them.

Looks fine to you.  It caters to a small group of people, and usually those the same people whos fashion sense isnt exactly up to date. If you like it, thats cool but just dont let the price tag make you think youre getting some high-end piece of clothing that will demand a certain reaction.

pelles are hot to a certain demographic, not everybody. Things are still popping and not only to a small group, a lot of ppl in cities like NYC Chicago Detroit are still on them hard. Just doesn't go with the Soho hypebeasts :lol:

Yeah, hot to the hood. Plain and simple. And that is a small group.
 
You do realize most of the hood is going towards newer fashion right? Only older heads stick to Pelle Pelle and whatnot.

Anyways, moving on.

How long are you outside on average in the winter. I go from house to car to work. You gotta wait for the bus or something ?

i have this in blue. works well. solid fit too. stiff tho. not really a comfort jacket. just str8 rain protection, thats all. im fine with that too.

I ordered the duck camo one last year and returned it right away. Stitching was bad and the thread on a button was already unraveling. Maybe I just received a bad quality one. Might try my luck with the blue one, still looking for a hooded rain jacket.

in nyc this past winter there were days that it was less than 20 outside. I was out all night for the aunt pearls when it was close to 0 degrees and I probably wouldve died if I wore a penfield :lol: my man got frostbite cuz he wore aj1s :smh:
If you're literally just going from house to car you could probably just use a hoodie.
 
When it hit single digits that one day in NY last year, a big gust of wind hit me and I thought my face had frostbite. That cold was brutal.
 
I've always associated Pelle Pelle with Chicago. Dude would move here all throughout my childhood and adulthood and all they would talk about were Pelle Pelle jackets (From atl btw).

The cold was no joke this year, made the summer over here light
 
This summer was pretty light in general. Did we even have a heatwave? This week is probably the hottest its been.
 
Yeah it seems this week has been the hottest. The damn humidity. Watching the US Open and the players were struggling out there.
