Translation the next time a Jordan 3 model release we're taxing.

They need to shelve the VI's too.

Lol , its funny how everyone' s got a number to ''shelve'' but 3s are selling out everywhere , and so every other will if it is to be ''paused'' .

JB knows resale is dead... putting items in the vault brings back the "one to rock one to stock" mentality that puts $$ back in resellers pockets, which generates hype for the brand

This sounds bogus.....aren't they remastering the true blues with NA for 2015? It was on that list thar released

Good. They been releasing way too many whack colorways of the 3's.Will wait for a remastered bcs and wc's tho

This is a set up ... I PROMISE YOU IT IS ... Not saying that they're not going to stop production, but this is why I'm saying it's a set up:

1. When have they even made an announcement saying the they're going to "Stop production" on ANY of their Jordan shoes? Normally, they just move to the next shoe; no announcement.

2. They're doing this to (as stated by people already) generate a buzz and yearning so when the remastered joints come in a few years, they can charge RIDICULOUS pricing...

In other words, "We're coming after the reseller money and keeping it for ourselves"

In other news, glad I still got my 03 cements... time to do a "touch up" since it's gonna be a minute before another release.

This sounds more like a publicity stunt, if anything.

Get ready for a crazy batch of colorway of IIIs, in the next few years. Im personally are only interested in picking up a BC and/or a WC.

wish they'd drop BC's or TB's first before going that route...i hope when they come back they'd make a proper midsole that doesnt chip or crack after a few wears.

relax guys, i'm not a reseller, i just forgot a smile! it was ironic cause this gonna cost me some more money to double up ufff!!! :frown:

Just as the announcement made it's way through social media, all the III's that were "sitting" on major retailer websites, immediately sellout. I'm sure many b&m stores saw or will see an uptick on sales as well. Probably after getting complaints from these retailers about some of the recent III's taking up valuable storage space and getting other models shipped to them on a daily basis doesn't help. Then the announcement comes.
Wouldn't be surprised if something gimmicky is also announced about the XIV soon.

No gimmick in the world is gonna help the 14's sell out, the desire for the model just isn't there. Same goes for the other post-13 Jordans.

I believe the Indiglo 14 would sell out instantly and probably the bred 16 as well

Indiglo 14s? I think not

But yea this is just a ploy, jb is dumb funny

Only if in the vault meant we arent seeing a retro for 7 years, but it doesnt

I think this is GREAT. Stop releasing 3s with painted midsoles that crack. They can remaster all they want but if they dont fix that than they might as well leave them in the vault. Some of you may not remember or never owned 3s from 2001 and early but the soles never cracked. I wore my 2001 BC3 til the soles fell off (literally) and the soles were faded but no cracks because they didnt paint them back then.

Birmingham Barons
Black / Photo Blue – Black
Black / Photo Blue – White
“Bentley Ellis”
“Calvin Bailey”
“Cool Grey” (2012)
“Olive” (2012)
“Slim Jenkins”
“Fontay Montana”
“Motorboat Jones”
“Doernbecher”

Although a little longer back, 2010 saw quite a few 9's as well..

Silver Anniversary
White/University Blue
Bin 23
Citrus
White/Red/Black
Black/Charcoal

So in the past 4 years, there has probably been 15 colorways drop. Not too bad for one model..

Although I'm a big fan of the 3, interested to see how long they will be in the vault for and what will be the first release afterwards. No doubt it will be super hyped, limited and probably have $225/250 price tag.

I would happily pay that for a 2001 quality BC3

you mean like how they always do with certain models? Come on people, there were no actual 5s, 4s, 7s, 8s and maybe 12s this YEAR.

OF COURSE there wont be any production because there isnt a retro planned, YET

Doesn't JB basically put the other models in the vault anyway when it selects the 2 or 3 different models to release each year?
By the time JB loops back around to the same model, a few years have passed anyway.
