This whole "Jordan ' s Thing"

As much as we all hate Jordan's now, everybody has that one pair thats the exception to their "I'm retired" rule

...thus the cycle continues

Nope. They could drop anything and if it's made like trash I won't buy it. It's like a slap to the face IMO.

This is true

I needs them gator 17's
you gonna stop buying Nike's too or nah? same company so it would be pointless not to boycott the other sigs/shoes under da umbrella.
Well that's why I'm saying this is some hard core hypocrisy on my end.
Kd and kobe and lebron can keep my money.
Shaq, and kanye, and anyone else with any other brand can too.
Jordan lost me

I still cop, but barely. I only copped the white infrareds this year, an only plan on buying the black infra's.

I slowed that shoe crap down.

I can only see myself buying one pair next year, if I even truly get around to it.

Of course re-releases of old colors make me want them, but honestly I be forgetting release dates. I just don't care to keep up with it anymore. I still lurk the JB forums at times and post here and there, but my interests have moved beyond shoes at this age (26).

Them FlyKnits doe.... LAWD.... :smh:

Was going to buy the black and white high top pair, before today.
But I was like "naw lemme help the cause and give to the jordan foundation" :smh:
Will cop today

Sold most of my J's for bargain basement prices, after that GM Boyz **** for the Concords here in Houston( still funny but cringe worthy) aired, just couldn't do it anymore. Still have my Cdp black 3s, Black/Red 1s from the old love/new love pack and the last restock on the black/red 4s and I will keep those but for the most part been selling my collection to get ready for my little king/queen to be born. I still buy a pair of vans on occasion( even that is getting ridiculous) but I feel you OP. But with age and responsibilities comes change. Hell I was even thinking about the Cali sb highs this morning but have no desire to look for them in my city( just can't pay the 5 bills for the lows.)

All the og cws are still cool wit me.
The cws mike actually wore.

Never was a big fan of + cw. They look good just not my thing.

Fusions can go to hell tho.
And you KNOW they gonna fusion brons in the future cuz aint too many colors to retro + lol.

^^^ Do you collect, or still collect... or whatever your situmination be?

Have about a 20 pair rotation and I probably wont buy another pair of shoes for 10 years. Last pair I bought were Black cement 4s on BF 2012. $160 + for some stiff, ****** quality shoes is not whats up. I went back to buying older dunk SB's that I wish I would've had when I was younger (21 now, buying SBs from 05-09.)

The quality differences are day and night.

The thing I just can't stand is that I really only want like two pairs of J's now, and they cost like 500+ a piece. I'm like really? I know this has been beaten into the ground but can't you just make enough pairs for me not to spend that much?

I stick to vans and asics now, and new balances are coo too. Not too flashy and actually functional.

Jordans are so lame to me now.. .I got like 7 pairs of them and I barely wear them. Bout to start selling them

I thought this was gonna be about MJ being, by most accounts, a pretty awful person (who may or may not have invested in private prisons).

I'm currently processing that dichotomy myself in deciding whether to give him or Nike and their known BS any more of my money...but then again, I've always been partial to classic adidas anyway.

*waits to find out adidas outfitted the Nazis or something*

I have owned every og I could possible want wear with out falling apart their are pairs here and there I want but don't care to jump thru hoops to get. If I get for retail dope if not owell they will be out next year.

^ ****, I truly saw that coming.

Um...at least it wasn't my own folks like with Mike?

Still, damn.

EDIT: Apparently ol' Adi did make possibly the first known PEs for a black athlete (Jesse Owens, who took home 4 golds in the 1936 Olympics in 'em), so that is one for him I guess.

My motto is wear what you like but
...

Years ago I realized that it was getting old tryna get every pair. I'm 28, been doing it for damn near 2 decades. Plus every kid in my city is doing the same thing. Its like a dumbass cycle

My neice has to have every one that come out. She's 13 . Only thing she knows about him is that he played for the red team.

I understand the raising price thing. That's happens with every product over time. I but I hate that its a new pair almost every week these days.

Pretty much this. I aim for wearable older releases as much as possible and Jordan Brand directly gets maybe 3 pairs at most out of me yearly. I'm not around for having to try hard to spend money. **** just doesn't make sense.

I've bought 1 pair of Jordans in the last 4-5 years and they were the Cement 3's with Nike Air. Luckily I was at work, and my internet connection was solid so getting them was relatively easy.

I'm too old to go through the hassle and pay more than retail, so if I miss out, I miss out. I'm fine with that.

Then factor in my career where wearing sneakers is an option only if you're working on the weekends, there's no real point to accumulate as much as I used to.

I trimmed my collection back years ago to make room for "new" releases as I wanted them, but it just became too much of a circus.

It's a great feeling, famb...

Congrats.

:pimp:

I'd rather some Nike or Adidas runners...

Or new balance

What made me feel the most comfortable moving on was when I found that the shoes didn't make the man..

Doing everything the same without over priced shies that everyone else has on..
