Houston Texans Pre-Season 2015 - Hoyer's The Starter....By GAWD KING!!!

Another efficient offensive game combined with very good defense and special teams play. Though we got no sacks, the forced turnovers were great to see. That was like a 2011 Texans game. I'd gradually like to see Grimes and Blue take a better load off Foster. He came be at 25+ carries EVERY game. JJ Gonzalez :pimp: :pimp:

- Derek Newton, not bad, not bad at all
- JJ :smokin
- O'Brien has to chill with these Foster carries
- We could actually start 5-0 , so much for MM8

I feel good about this year even before it started. I know it's only been 2 games but it feels way different than those struggle wins from last year. Not saying we're going to the super bowl but we're going to do good this season

Watt :smokin

DJ makes up for his **** ups
I hate to admit that you're right

That's a good thing man, I thought dude was going to be a walking dumpster again this year. The right side of the o-line has been a pleasant surprise.

Only thing that is concerning right now is the run defense, we have to clean that up. I think as Cush gets more comfortable he'll help in that area.

Texans at Giants 3 keys to defense

Sunday the Texans will be in New York to face the Giants. To keep their undefeated streak from matching last years three game start. Heading in against the winless Giants who seem to be imploding under the failing arm of Eli Manning and a head coach who seems overwhelmed it’s easy to think the Texans are headed for an easy 3 and 0 start. Maybe they are, here are the thee keys to defense for the Texans to be the Giants.

1. Pressure.

The Texans have to pressure Manning and it has to come from someone not wearing #99. Watt was bottled up by the Raiders for the entire game, aside a touch down catch he was pretty much quiet. This was because the Raiders did what everyone else did last year, double and triple team Watt. The rest of the defense was unable to take advantage of this. How and why is beyond me. The ******** game planned for Clowney, the Raiders didn’t have to and the Giants will follow the Raiders game plan. Here is a great time to unleash Brian Cushing and make the Giants pay for focusing on Watt.

2. Secondary Coverage.

The secondary cannot count on interceptions and fumbles. Yes, the ledger balance is in favor of the Texans right now but take away a fumble and there is a chance the Texans are 1-1 instead of 2-0. Manning may be struggling, but he can air the ball out and has weapons around him that can get behind the defense in a flash.

3. Special Teams Success.

So far, the Texans have had great coverage and returns from the special teams unit. This has to continue. It’s a small, but vital portion of the game that has been in recent years rather painful to observe. So far, from the preseason through the first two games this has been the best performing unit the Texans have fielded yet. That needs to continue.

What are you guys thoughts on Andre Johnson fantasy-wise this year? Got offered him, Sproles and Wheaton for my Cobb, Chris Johnson and Mike Evans. I haven't watched either of the Texans games this year so I really have no clue how Andre has looked. He'd be my WR2 behind Demaryius.

I do think Andre will continue to get his yards, but I'm up in the air about his TDs since this is a new very meticulous offense, and Foster/Hopkins are currently the ones with the TDs. Combined with Sproles though, I'd easily take that trade.

Texans running back Arian Foster was limited in practice all week with a hamstring injury and is out against the Giants.

Rookie running back Alfred Blue is expected to see a lot of work with tailback Jonathan Grimes pitching in.

Blue & Grimes got the juice now. And Ronnie Brown.

What's good y'all checkin in from Colombia
Finally got everything set up over here to watch game :pimp:

I see foster not playing hopefully the other 3 can hold their weight.

Lets get this W :pimp: :pimp:

What a buttcheek game. Poor O-line play leading to most of Fitz's terrible play, and awful run defense. I don't see how we just kept letting Jennings do that slow as molasses cutback, then haul *** for 15 yards. He's a good back, but no way should he be having 170+ yards nearly effortless like that.

-The run defense has been a problem all season, it just hasn't been exploited because they weren't really playing from behind in the previous two games.
Romeo needs to figure this out.

- Fitz is who we thought he was. No way is that dude ever going to be able to lead a team to victory playing from behind on a consistent basis. I hate having to be a fan of team with a QB that basically has to be babied into to wins.

-MM8 campaign headed back in the right direction after today 8)
