The overall shoe design was inspired by the Star Wars character, Darth Maul, mostly by his facial markings.
The idea was to keep it basic and geometric, playing only with the black and red areas of his face and disregarding the actual facial features. The heel tab and midsoles were blacked out to contrast the already detailed upper as well as to signify the black hooded cloak/robe that Darth Maul usually sports.
This is my 3rd custom work, a first done for a client. Still have a lot to learn.
