Touching up Elephant Print on Fire Red 3's

Doing my first resto on a pair of old beater Fire Red 3's. I was kind of sloppy and while using Acetone got some of the red to bleed over onto the elephant print.

What is the best way to fix this mistake? Is it just to paint the EP? If so do I just use black angelus?

Please help
