Like I was saying a couple pages back, I heard that if we want Shved back and we go over the cap, then we can decline his qualifying offer and sign him with Bird Rights. I need Essential or someone to confirm that info tho. If so, it needs to happen. Shved had an understanding of the Triangle. Can definitely use him on the team...

He would still have a cap hold. But it would be a $6.235mil cap hold, so he limits your spending an extra $2mil.

My suggestion is to not offer him a QO. Maximize FA space, and then try to re-sign him with the $2.8mil Room Exception if you absolutely thought you needed him. If that's too little, so be it.

Rehabilittating that ankle he sacrificed for us a few years to save our season and eventually ending his career at the same time.

The guy is a true warrior. I've never met the guy, but a friend of mine has. Say's he's awfully nice and very polite. The guys looks really intimidating though
