good win, but what's the point? it was a joke at first with losing games, but ain't no need for victories now
 
I have never been more disappointed in a win ever!! I always root for my teams but man I actually let out a sigh. Lol oh win some lose most lol
 
Congrats on the win fellas. Now you'll have to split the #1 odds with Minnesota unless they win another game. They've only got the Warriors, Pelicans and Thunder to close out the season.

Man, they all got ghost, because what is there to really discuss? All we have is hope that the squad turns it around over the summer, but we all know this franchise too well. Wouldn't be surprised either way. Like if they bought Beno back, not shocked. Or, if they Dragic or Rondo, not surprised.
 
Just to make it clear...I don't think Greg is a bum. He'll probably get the max or something close to it from someone.

Issue is that he's a slow footed traditional big and can't space the floor in a league that values it more than ever. Can't hang w/ stretch bigs. And Carmelo isn't going anywhere + Melo is mostly better off at the 4 at this point.

If there is one member of the media who has been driving me absolutely insane lately it is Frank Isola.

Often times I do not mind Isola because he is really the one NY media member who isnt afraid of reprocusions fromm Dolan and attacks him ruthlessly. Obviously I cant stand James Dolan and I usually appreciate a media member who isnt afraid to tell it like it is when it comes to Dolan's ineptitude with the Knicks.

However with Isola's consistent bashing of everything Dolan does, no matter how hard he ALWAYS tries to sugar coat it and act like he isnt meddling when he is, Dolan obviously has developed a strong dislike for Isola as well. Dolan pretty much despises all members of the NY media and does everything in his power to keep himself and his employees away from them, but when Dolan does take an occasional dip into the media pool (like he did when he hired Phil last year and celebrated himself as a genius after the least successful season in Knicks history which was 99.9% his fault, or the occasional once every 5 years sit down) it is always with one of his own. Usually media members that or either on his pay roll or will listen to what he says nodding and agreeing without digging into the tougher areas of the job. For instance Dolan has had sit down interviews with his MSG employees in the past. Occasionally he has granted a media member a full length interview, most recently was the one during the beginning of last season after he had just fired Glen Grunwald for Steve Mills and the Knicks were off to a surprisingly rocky start after the 54 win season, and whenever he has had one of these NY Newspaper interviews it has always been with the Post. The Post led by Berman are "his people" and he avoids the Daily News and Isola at all costs. Then when he hired Phil and went on a media tour of the city he made sure he only sat with the media members who would help further his own agenda. I remember in particular listening to a rather unsettling interview he had on the Michael Kay show (Anytime I listen to Michael Kay try and talk about basketball to begin with, I get nauseous). The interview was awful. Dolan lied about everything that went on in the past and acted like he was a hero and the season was a success because he had hired Phil Jackson for $60 million, and Kay and LaGreca sat their like the ******* idiots they are, nodded their head, and touted Dolan afterwards for having an underserved bad reputation and praised him for doing everything possible to help the Knicks win and granting Phil Jackson "full autonomy." Not once bringing up the FACT that he had granted this same "full autonomy" to Donnie Walsh 6 years ago before completely interfering with Donnie on the most significant transaction of the Walsh era, promptly running Walsh out of town that summer feeling rightfully betrayed by Dolan breaking the one thing he promised him. No according to Kay and LaGreca Dolan "sounded like he meant it," so all was well. Knicks fans were just being irrational with their fear and hatred of Dolan. They seriously reminded me of being for Dolan what Kim Jung Il wanted James Franco to be in "The Interview."

I remember even being very annoyed with the Phil Jackson hiring to begin with just because it was such a classic Dolan move. I mean Dolan REALLY ****** up and turned a promising roster created by Donnie and Glen into that nightmare of a season last year.

The Knicks were and still are in need of some major help and here goes Dolan going out of his way and paying a ridiculous sum of money to Phil Jackson to take over the entire basketball operations simply because Jackson was a big enough name to make everyone forget about the disaster of a season the Knicks had just experienced. Throwing more money at his issues in hope they would just disappear.

I didnt like the move first of all because of that. 2nd of all, because Jackson had never been a general manager before, 3 because Jackson had never even been on a losing team before, 4 because I simply never liked Jackson because of his Knick beating days in Chicago, and 5th/most importantly I viewed the Knicks (and still do) in need of MAJOR reconstruction. I figured that 70 year old Phil Jackson was going to collect his monster pay day with his heart not nearly as invested in this team as we need an executive to be. I figured that he would just try to fix this team on the go basically by resigning Carmelo in the summer and throwing money at any big name free agent he could get his hands on. I felt that basically Phil was prepared to collect his paychecks and throw a band aid on a team that needed surgery like so many Knicks execs before him. I thought that Phil didnt have the time or passion to reassemble the Knicks properly and I preferred that the Knicks go after a young up and coming executive from a proven team like the Spurs or the Thunder, preferably one who understands how to build teams using analytics, and have him rebuild the roster from the ground up. I felt that the Knicks needed someone like that who is young and hungry and understands that the Knicks couldnt be fixed overnight.

Basically I was pissed at Dolan for pulling such a classic Dolan move out of his *** and even more pissed when he took his media tour of NYC touting himself as a ******* hero. It is during times like this where I love Frank Isola. I liked Isola writing articles bashing Dolan's transparent actions and say the same **** that I was saying while too many ignorant Knicks fans and ignorant media folk like Michael Kay were busy living in fantasy land. It was nice to hear Isola tell it how it is. That James Dolan's words mean NOTHING and that the Knicks were a ******* disaster.

Enter the summer.I read Phil Jackson's book and develop a newfound respect of his logic and ideals. I also start to believe in Phil. I start to believe that he has a plan, that he is not just collecting pay checks and finding himself a hobby. That he really does have a special place in his heart for the Knicks from his playing days under Red Holzman and he really does have a desire to restore the Knicks to our ancient glory. Then most importantly, when things start to go south for the Knicks I see Phil acting ina very UN-KNICKS like way.

Sure, Phil might have expected a more successful season when he took over. I dont know nor do I care. All that I do know is that when Phil saw the writing on the wall, the Knicks accumulating enough losses to become one of the worst teams in the league he could have acted in one of 2 ways. Way #1 is what I would have expected from Phil if you asked me on the day we hired him. It's the way I have seen Isiah and Layden and Dolan repeatedly try even after failing on multiple occasions. When things went south, the Knicks typically panic and act as rash as possible. While many GMs of Knicks past would have tried to put some kind of trade together in an attempt at salvaging a season that was going nowhere, Phil remained calm, and did the opposite.

For years I have wanted the Knicks to have a top draft pick in a loaded NBA Draft. I ******* love the NBA Draft, I always have. I have attended the draft whenever I ca, on many occasions during years the Knicks dont even have a draft pick. Whenever I play 2k I always look to blow up the roster and draft and it is the one team building strategy that the Knicks avoid like the plague. However with cap space to work with this summer and finally the rights to our own draft pick, Phil acted in a matter I have never seen a Knicks GM act. He gutted the roster. He traded away JR and Shump, cut Amare, etc. Now you could argue that maybe he didnt get enough in return but I will argue, who the **** cares? I would rather trade Smith and Shumpert for the nobodys that we got, than get more "value" in return that would help the Knicks win games that we dont need to win. The way I see it, the Knicks' most important asset by far is our first round draft pick. By getting next to nothing in return for JR and Shump we enhanced the value of our most important asset. In the process we got some intriguing young pieces that could potentially develop into a role player or 2 and we rid ourselves of the locker room cancer that was JR Smith and the long term contract that came along with it.

Phil had a plan in place, a wise un-Knicks like plan that he followed to perfection. Jackson made trades that cleared him unwanted players and contracts and in return he got prospects, some who could pan out but most who wont. But he made sure that he didnt win us more basketball games this season and he didntt cost us anything beyond this summer. Because of how Jackson has managed this team this season, the Knicks will be in the best position this summer than any team I can ever remember the Knicks happening.

I will fully admit that I was extremely skeptical of the "2015 free agency plan." We had just struck out in 2010 and I did not want to build this roster up with the expectation of turning around the ship in free agency. This is why I wanted a young GM who would build through the draft instead of Phil. I even started to consider the possibility of doing a sign and trade with Melo because I didnt think it would be possible for the knicks to be truly bad enough to get the draft pick that could lead to a player who could become the savior of this franchise while also having Melo. But then Phil came, and somehow someway we have the best of both worlds.

Call me an optimist. Tell me that Phil didnt plan for this and I still dont care. Somehow the Knicks managed to lock up Carmelo Anthony, a bonafide star which is extremely hard to find no matter how much $ you have or how many top picks you have, and then we also have cap space to work with, and a top draft pick. Now the plan becomes to build the team around Melo and a top 3 draft pick/franchise player.

Because of THIS, I now like the plan of going after free agents this summer. Because now the plan isnt to aimlessly wander int free agency looking to find ourselves a superstar. We have our star in Melo and we have our next franchise player with our draft pick. Phil Jackson is now relying on a deep free agency class to fill out the rest of the roster and build the best basketball TEAM he possibly could around Melo and our draft pick. Say whatever you want about this season, but if you would have told me this would happen going into this summer at this time last year, I would have signed wherever you wanted me to sign, even if Phil Jackson and Steve Mills were Isiah Thomas and Scott Layden

Im not saying it will 100% work out. But what I will tell you with tremendous confidence is that the Knicks are in a better position to actually build a contending basketball team than they have been since Patrick Ewing was traded. So all in all, whether he planed all this or not, I tip my hat to the Zen Master.

You can look at the franchise worst record, and I will look at that as a positive all day long. How could I not? Anytime you are doing something that the Knicks have never done before. it is probably a ******* good thing because the Knicks arent the kind of team you want to model their history after. To say the least. So yeah the Phil Jackson era is off to a worse start than both the Layden and Isiah eras. But if you were smart,  you would see that this means the Zen Master era has more promise and a higher ceiling than Layden or Isiah ever did. By allowing this team that was going nowhere to become this historically bad, worse than any Knicks team ever, we are all of a sudden going somewhere. Remember that Isiah won his first season after he brought Stephon Marbury home and reached the playoffs in 2004. That would wind up being Isiah's only time in the playoffs with the Knicks. Now Phil Jackson is losing his first season. He is being called a "complete bust" by ******** like Frank Isola because he has achieved the worst record in Knicks history in his first season. Worse than Isiah and Layden ever had. But hey, maybe just like Isiah never sniffed the playoffs again after "winning" his first season, maybe Phil Jackson will never miss the playoffs again after "losing" his first season.

Maybe the Knicks have never been this bad before. Sure, but you know who has been this bad before? The Spurs, before drafting Tim Duncan. The Cavs, before drafting Lebron. The Seattle Supersonics, before drafting Kevin Durant. So yeah, its the worst record in Knicks history. Big ******* deal. Thats only because in recent Knicks history, when we have been this bad we do something ******* stupid like trade 2 unprotected picks for Eddy Curry or trade an expiring contract and a young Trevor Ariza for Steve Francis in failed attempts to improve ****** rosters. You think Phil Jackson couldnt have won 30 games this season? *****. Phil could have put off Melo's surgery. Maybe tried to trade for a couple of players who would help the Knicks win more basketball games this season. But Phil is smart enough to know that it was in the Knicks best interest to lose and lose a lot.

And this is where I get back to Isola. I promise, if you are still reading along, there is a point

Frank Isola is a talented writer. He displays this often when he is bashing James Dolan more effectively than any other NY writer I know. The other day, after Copeland got stabbed, he wrote a very nice well written article about Copeland and the situation. I remember reading it and thinking how good of a writer Isola is/can be when he is writing from the heart,

However, far too often, Isola like many members of the media if not ALL members of the media, are so much on their ******* smug *** high horse, that they fail to see anything beyond what furthers their own personal agenda. James Dolan has seemingly taken a step back and has put all of his trust into Phil Jackson. Because of Isola's little media war with James Dolan this automatically makes Phil Jackson a high profile member of "Team Dolan," and as such, a target that must be attacked.

So often members of the NY media write about how rough the NY media could be on players and how often it is an obstacle that defers top tier talent before attracting them. That unless you are winning championships left and right, the NY media will find a way to villainize you, because that is what sells papers more than positivity. Yet these same writers talk about the NY media like it is some immovable object that cant be dealt with and then they go on to contribute to the cause, without realizing they are the ******* problem. This is Isola in a nut shell. He has ripped on Dolan for years and years and has destroyed him for not getting out of his own way and for Knicks execs (whoever they may be) to not be patient and build their teams the proper way. And now, Dolan has (seemingly) not interfered with Jackson at all (except for MAYBE the Steve Kerr situation and because it is really the only ammo he is, Isola throws that little tidbit in any of his stories whenever he gets the chance to), and we finally have a GM who has valued saving money, improving his draft position, and overall favoring his long term vision of the team over putting a competent product on the floor this season. And Isola, in his never ending spat with James Dolan, cant just SHUT THE **** UP.

He is honestly as bad as Dolan is. It is just that 99$ of the time, Dolan is wrong, so whe  Isola bashes him, he is right to. But this season has made me realize that Isolan, who is traditionally one of if not my favorite NY media writer because he isnt brainwashed by Dolan is just as much a scumbag piece of **** as Dolan is. While there are media pundits out there who are brainwashed by Dolan and as such take his side no matter what, Isola, because Dolan and now Phil Jackson blow him off for interviews and quotes and everything else, has become anti-Dolan no matter the ******* situation.He is just as bad as the pro-Dolan media members, because he is just as non-obkective, except that no matter the situation, he will take the side opposite of Dolan. These guys talk about the NY media and how players cant deal with them and criticize how players like Lebron look to head out to South Beach without state taxes and without media members villainizing everything they do, and after watching thios season I realize honestly can you blame them?

These media ***** are all driven by their personal agenda no matter what their agenda may be. If Dolan/Phil talks with media members and fraternizes with them (and pays them), these dudes will find a way to twist any situation their favor. And then you got sncum bags like Isola left out in the shadows, and because of such he is just as non-objective as the media member that he despises just in the opposite direction. That is why I love it on NT with the fans. It is the only way to get truly objective/non biased opinions on the situation at hand. Sometimes fans get too passionate and can be easily swayed but dudes like Isola who only write  according to what helps out his personal agenda are the ******* worst. They really are. Its the same kind of media folk who bash Aaron Rodgers for being selfish because he didnt grant an interview when he was at the Final 4 or the ******* who in the wake of the Mershawn Lynch quotes infamously tweeted that Lynch fails to realize that "without the media, NFL players wouldbe playing in a parking lot for $10/hour." It is a dream of mine to be a writer/hired contributor for the Knicks and it is why I come in here and do writing on the side, but they way the media sucks their own **** and cant look past themselves makes me sick.

Classic example of what I am talking about (in addition to an entire article Isola wrote last week basically annointing Phil Jackson a failure as a GM before he has even had the chance to do jack ****), but a quick simple example that really pissed me off comes in this little paragraph from the article he wrote today about Greg Monroe:
FEEL THE HEAT

Jackson’s first full season in New York has been a complete bust. Of the temp workers Jackson signed it’s hard to see any of them as rotation players on a good team. Maybe Langston Galloway and Lance Thomas will eventually get there.

Now, compare that to the job Pat Riley has done in Miami where the Heat, despite losing LeBron James to free agency and seeing Chris Bosh lost for the season after the All-Star break, remain in playoff contention.

Riley acquired point guard Goran Dragic at the trade deadline and during last offseason, and signed journeyman center Hassan Whiteside, who does not play like a one-hit wonder. Riley has built and re-built the Miami Heat four times over during his 20 seasons in Miami, and don’t bet against him to land another big-name free agent.

Plus, Riley, like Larry Bird, is the type of executive who is comfortable away from the spotlight, doesn’t make excuses and lets his work speak for itself. And another thing, Riley and Bird don’t feel the need to share their thoughts on Twitter.

I mean, Isola cant actually believe the garbage that he writes. I am sure of it. Whatever moves Phil made this summer, Isola was going to get on him for that. Because essentially in this article, Isola criticizes Phil Jackson for not being the EXACT general manager that I and other smart Knicks fans feared that he would be. And I am 10000000% CERTAIN that if Phil did made these moves that Ilsola mentions in this paragraph, Isola along with the rest of the media would be ready to run him out of town, waiting with pitchforks and torches wherever the **** he went.

Of course it wouldnt be a GR8 rant to just leave it there without an actual breakdown of what I am talking about so allow me to explain...

Isola begins the paragraph by calling Jackson's first season a "complete bust." Like this is supposed to be common knowledge or something because of the team's record. After years and years of criticizing Dolan and other Knicks' GMs for having no patience and trading away draft picks, all while pointing to teams like the Spurs as classic examples of what the Knicks are not, Isola has turned into the most hypocritical member of the media member there it.

This reminds me of Stephen A Smith during the 2012-2013 season. I had liked SAS to that point just like I liked Isola until this season. But all it takes is one significanty act of complete media hypocricy to change how I feel about you. Qucik reminder of how that all went down, SAS opened up the 2012-2013 season by writing a large spread that made front page of ESPN.com about how the Knicks were overrated. About how the acquisitions they made of Carmelo and everyone else was going to fail and how Brooklyn outdid them at every turn starting with how they came in at the last minute and stole Deron Williams shortly after the Knicks had aquired Melo. SAS wrote about how the new Brooklyn Nets were ready to take over the city and that they were the far superior team. Then, the season goes on and the Knicks obviously go on to win 54 games and SAS breaks out his pom poms and acts like he is such a huge Knicks fan all of a sudden and how he was behind them all along. This led to another ESPN article that I was reminded about earlier this week when it popped up on my Timehop. The article was about how the Knicks are a legit contender and how the race for the eAstern Conference crown was officially a 2 team race between the Knicks and the Heat, Melo vs Lebron, JR vs Wade, etc. He referenced the Knicks as a legitimate title contender that could upset the Heat given their recent success against them. Then finally the Knicks fall in 6 to the Pacers, and all you could ******* hear was SAS blabbing all over town on First Take and ESPN radio NY about how he loved the Knicks but that he knew all along that they are overrated and had no shot. Trying to act one step ahead of everybody else. Give me a ******* break with that ****. I legitimately couldnt keep up with Stephen A that season and I have not respected him as a journalist or a "Knicks fan" since.

Well here you have Isola, after ripping Knicks executives apart in the past for making dumb rash decisions to appease Dolan's "win now" mindset calling Phil Jackson's first season a "complete bust" because the Knicks had a bad record and he didnt do anything about it except make it worse. Good start Frank.

Next up we have Isola comparing Jackson as an executive to Pat Riley. This is already an unfair comparison to begin with, considering that Riley has been with Miami building that team for 20 years  now while Jackson has been with the Knicks for one. Everyone on the Heat was hand selected by Pat Riley where Jackson was given a terrible Knicks roster and had to do what he could with it. But anyway lets see what Isola had to say in his comparison.

First off, Isola praised Riley for keeping a roster he built "in playoff contention" even after losing Chris Bosh. Like the Heat's season and Riley's job has been more successful than Jackson's because they are in playoff contention. Well newsflash, the Heat are going nowhere. They are missing the playoffs this season and they just lost Lebron to free agency, wade is turning 34, Bosh got hurt for the season, and the rest of the roster has little promise. Similar to the Knicks. Only difference being that Riley assembled that roster with little promise while Phil was given his.

It is almost laughable for Isola to praise Riley for keeping the Heat in contention for a playoff spot in the god awful Eastern Conference one year removed from representing the East in the NBA Finals for the 4th consecutive season. Like it is soo difficult a task to finish 10th in the East. The Knicks have had some of their worst seasons sitting in 10th place in the East, in fact isnt that around where we finished last season? I wouldnt exactly consider those seasons to be a success especially when your roster is filled up with overpaid veterans, and even more so when you are cleaned out of draft picks. That is what we like to call Basketball Purgatory. But yeah, Pat Riley totally deserves praise for assembling the 10th place in the East opposed to Phil sitting in last place like a loser.

Riley had years to build a team and basically got lucky by free agents like Lebron and Bosh choosing the never ending allure of South Beach and joining the Heat. Outside of drafting Dwyane Wade in 2003, Pat Riley really has done a poor job of finding young assets and build a supporting cast. Just for the fun of it lets take a look at Riley's success in finding assets in the Draft since selecting Wade in 2003.

Yeah not so fun when you dont have Lebron deciding to abandon the team that drafted him at the drop of the hat and you have big name free agents running to play for your team and your city. Sure, Riley was trying to win now around Lebron and won 2 championships while he was there, but most of the supporting cast Riley assembled for Miami was through signing free agents who wanted to get on board with ring chasing. Shabazz Naipier is the latest Heat draft pick who looks like a future bust, so even if it were fair to compare Phil Jackson with an executive of 20 years +, I dont know if Pat Riley and the current Miami Heat who about to miss the playoffs in a weak Eastern Conference with little assets to speak of is the best comparison while trying to make Phil Jackson look bad.

Sure, Isola can credit Riley for keeping the Heat "competitive" in the East all he wants. All I see is a team in desperate need of young talent (like the Knicks) missing the playoffs (and having no chance even if they did make the playoffs) while the "non competitive" Knicks are headed for a top 3 draft pick this summer. You can bet your *** that if the "savvy" Riley decided to  blow up his ship after losing Lebron to Cleveland (kind of like Cleveland did when they lost Lebron to Miami) and they were the ones heading straight to a top 3 pick this summer, and Phil was the one desperately trying to make a laughable playoff push in a weak Eastern Conference, Isola would be playing the other side of the argument, except he would be right. Just look at how well the Celtics have been able to move past their big 3 due to the ineptitude of the Nets and Billy King. You dont think Riley would rather the Heat be where the Knicks are, ready to be picking at the top of this draft then his current place missing the playoffs in the East stuck in basketball purgatory. Sure Riley and the heat will probably be fine. History has shown us that free agents tend to gravitate to Miami, but lets please not act that the Heat being in 10th in the East right now is a better position than the Knicks in last and that Riley has been some sort of master GM after losing Lebron last summer.

There is no way Isola actually believes that the Knicks would have been better off in the position Miami is this season. That is my entire point. There is no chance he believes that the Knicks would have had a more successful season sitting in 10th place in the weak Eastern Conference aka "Basketball Purgatory" because they would be "competitive" as opposed to staring a potential franchise player directly in the face this summer. If Isola believes all this, then he is just plain stupid, which I know he is not. This is not Isola being stupid this is just a classic example of Isola refusing to side with someone on "Team Dolan." He cant concede any ground in his fictional battle with the Knicks owner.

The most laughable point that Isola attempts to make is his grand praise of Riley for acquiring Goran Dragic at the deadline. In order to acquire Dragic, who will become an unrestricted free agent this summer, Riley had to offer up 2 future first round picks to the Suns. There were rumors of the Knicks getting in a potential battle to trade for Dragic at the deadline, and some of you might remember me at this time in here begging for Jackson not to do this. It would be as stupid as a trade could possibly be. Dragic will be a free agent this summer, meaning that if he wants to be a Knick and we wanted him, we could get him without giving up draft picks. Then there is also the possibility of offering up draft picks to get him and then watching him leave in free agency anyway. This essentially could have made Dragic a one year rental, a one year rental who also would hamper the Knicks greatest asset by improving our record enough where we probably would have fallen out of contention for a top 3 pick while still falling very well short of a playoff spot. The Knicks are already devoid or draft picks and we will have the cap space available and/or draft pick to acquire a point guard for this team this summer. Goran Dragic is far from Carmelo Anthony level, and even if he was Carmelo-status, Isola is one of the media members who continues to berate James Dolan for meddling with Donnie Walsh and stepping in to execte the Carmelo trade when we could have signed him outright for nothing as a free agent (potentially) if we had waited. Trading for Dragic at the deadline would have been the most Isiah Thomas like move I could ever think of. It would have James Dolan's greasy fingertips all over it. Instead, Dolan stayed the F outta Phil's way and Phil made the obvious play, refusing to get involved with trade talks and watch Miami offer up draft picks to acquire Dragic.

Now depending on who the Knicks draft, we may need a PG or we may not. If we do need a PG we might still make an attempt to sign Dragic this summer, though in all likelihood he will probably stay in Miami. Regardless of what happens with the PG position on the Knicks and Goran Dragic, he is not nearly the kind of game changer that would have made it remotely plausible to try and go after at the trade deadline for a potential one year rental, especially if we had to give up draft picks to do so. I like Dragic a lot, but he is potentially my third overall choice for the Knicks to get at PG this summer if I had the choice after my favorite option D'Angelo Russell as well as Brandon Knight. THAT is who Isola is referencing as to why Pat Riley has had the better year than Phil Jackson?

I am sure that if the Knicks were sitting in 10th place right now, fans such as myself and media members such as Isola would probably be wondering why the hell didnt Phil Jackson just blow things up. If we arent making the playoffs, they would say, then wouldnt it be better top have a shot at Towns or Okafor or Russell? You know they would say that as well as I do. In the beginning of the season I even said that I would prefer the Knicks get a top 3 pick then win a round in the playoffs. THAT is how badly I wanted the Knicks to have the kind of season that they just had.

But regardless of your feelings on that, you ABSOLUTELY KNOW WITH 150% CERTAINTY... That if after what Knicks fans/media have seen from past regimes. Giving up 2 first rounders for Eddy Curry and it working out as bad as bad possibly gets with the picks the Knicks traded for Curry later becoming Aldridge and Noah. Trading for Carmelo before having the chance to sign him as a free agent, a trade that still is very controversal to this day among fans/media members who think that the Knicks should have listened to Donnie Walsh and not panicked by trading away major assets to acquire Anthony. Many still believe that if the Knicks had waited they would have either forced Denver's hand into a trade for a lot less or been able to sign Carmelo as a free agent that summer. Regardless of people's opinion on the matter, few would actually argue that acquiring Anthony was the wrong move. At the end of the day the move still netted the Knicks Carmelo Anthony, who already is arguably one of the greatest Knicks of all time and has the chance to become even greater if we can improve his supporting cast while he is still in his prime. What many do have a problem with however, is how the Knicks went about making this move happen. The impatience and the ineptitude spearheaded by owner James Dolan himself. It is the move that reportedly ran Donnie Walsh out of town. Its a move that Frank Isola will never let Dolan live down, despite Dolan consistently denying that his involvement caused the trade to be made prematurely and/or Walsh leaving the following summer.

But if Phil Jackson, in his first season as Knicks president, decided to combine those 2 extremely controversial to outright terrible moves, and gave away 2 first round draft picks that we probably dont have to acquire Goran ******* Dragic one half season before he were to hit unrestricted free agency. To rent his services for a season in which we had the worst record in the NBA and were not even sniffing the playoffs regardless, Isola would be having a ******* field day. He would. It would be guns ablazing in his fictional "Isola vs Dolan" war. It would be his ******* D-Day. And THIS is the **** he decides to reference in order to try and sway the 75% dumbass NY population that Phil Jackson has been a "complete bust" during his tenure as Knicks GM?????????

i know yall are mad that we won because it lowers our chances at the #1 pick... and i dont want to sound like a broken record but the worst record in the league dont mean jack unless it was the nfl.... and despite us being garbage i like when we actually win because it doesnt happen often and me being a diehard knick fan i hate when they lose and love winning.... so it feels good every once in a while to win... i NEVER root for the knicks to lose even though we are garbage this year and expect a #1 pick...
