2015 NY Knicks offseason thread, Los Almighty appreciation thread

if you guys are doing the GW thing after the draft, i guess i will have to drive to the Golden gate bridge after work since I'm in Cali now.

No ****... I will be screaming for more beers at BW3 tomorrow if we don't get Mudiay or Russell.

Guys I think what developed as a joke/coping mechanism has developed into a real thing... I think I actually want Porzingis.

I was just thinking about it on the train, reading an article about him, and thought I was ******* nuts. But after giving it more thought, I think the feelings are real. The heart wants what the heart wants.

The dude is ******* 7'2 and wets 3s and blocks shots. Where the **** can you find that ****? He is 19 years old but has experience playing in a better league than any of these other kids, as a professional. And he has more than held his own. Something that Darko and other high Euro busts didnt do before him.

Teams in Spain's League A would whoop Duke and Kentucky's ***. This guy contributed. He competed. He is not soft and I think the fact that people will label him as soft regardless will only drive him further. He has always wanted to play in the NBA (many Euros dont care about the NBA), and I honestly think he will do so at an extremely high level. I think he is prepared to put the work in.

These kids are all ******* risks, I dont think his is so much higher just because he is European. Im not into stereotyping players in general, and Zinger is far from a stereotype. He is a tough, fearless competitor, and he tries to act black. Something that I find both hilarious and awesome. Hes got a fun personality as well as a winner's competitive edge and mean streak/nastiness. He isnt ******* Darko. I feel like NYC would love this kid if he started to kill it and we embraced him. This of course, from an outsider's perspective who can openly admit that I have never watched one of his games and am strictly speaking from interviews/scouting reports/highlight videos/workouts.

Plus I still do love the underdog mentality and the fact that the vast majority of Knicks fans will HATE this picks and boo the **** out of him. I think it drives him, I really do.

But idk, there is something about him. I have loved everything I have read about him and he seems to be a hard core competitor. The only thing that worries me is his frame, but that really just doesnt ******* worry me at all. I will take athleticism over bulk nowadays every day of the week. Bulk is such a 90s thing. Just protect the rim and were all good. Nobody bangs down low anymore.

Im gonna be in the VAST minority here, and you know I will own up to it if he is a bust, but save me a spot on the Zinger bandwagon #TeamZinger  :smh:

(Puts on flame suit) lets do this. Think your boy's gone off the deep end. **** it.

@IanBegley: On potential draft nite "surprises", Phil Jackson tells MSG: "There can be surprises all the way from 6-foot to 7-foot that would be major."

what the hell does this mean!?!??!!!!????

I'm more nervous than Chi-Town from Player's Club when St. Louis rolled up on him.

Phil is just trolling now saying they'd draft someone in that height range

Y'all need to stop trying to decipher his words man

Just making things worse for yourselves.

I'm officially dropping all expectations and hopes. Blank slate.
