2015 NY Knicks offseason thread, Los Almighty appreciation thread

I'd never move to Long Island. It's either BK, Westchester, Manhattan if my paper stretches that long or close areas like NJ or CT (currently there now).

Scarsdale is where it's at, but i'm not about that suburban life.
I'm really not either bruh but if I can get some affordable living space and still be close enough to the city to do hood rat stuff with my friends I would settle

Can't think of any spots in the BX I would live even though I spent most of my life there. Rather go back to BK than the BK.

Where in Jersey?
Tell me you know about the Astoria Applebee's. No jokes.
My buddy got a steal. Splits $2,400 per month with his roommate. 2 BR, living room, bathroom, kitchen. Nice area right by Court Square stop.
Depending on urgency, splurge for hotel.

Son, I check for places once a month, I swear the prices go up and up every month.

Ya'll ever actually drive to Westchester? Mountains and hills, man. Mountains and hills. Way too far for yambs. I have an aunt that lives in Hartsdale that I rarely go see because it's such a damn trek and even on a Saturday the Deegan is bumper to bumper coming back.

I came back to NJ to raise my kids, wouldn't have felt comfortable doing it in crown heights. Lived there 9 yeears and only knew a handful of people in my neighborhood because the turnover rate was stupid. I spent a lot of time in Rosedale which reminded me a lot of NJ. My lady's from Rosedale and she said the same thing.
Where in Jersey?
I'm in the Ivy Hill section of Newark. Can walk to a train to NY and express bus to NY about a block away. Seton Hall University which is in South Orange is basically in my backyard. If I climb my back fence I'm on their campus, LOL.

damn...I pay about that price for a 2br just outside of Astoria. Astoria was where j wanted to move but my real estate agent basically laughed at my budget getting me a 2br there.

I'd love yo move to LIC.

Where you find yambs though? Like how do you bring home a girl to your place if you're in Manhattan at a bar? Girls usually willing to take the cab or train out to Queens?
A cab from midtown costs me about $25, so I'm not even mad. Gotta do what you gotta do sometimes.

Uber is heaven sent.

No way I'm picking up a ***** at a bar and taking her on the train to the bus home.

@ChampCruThik The one by Panera and the movies? I've been once but I was with my ex so my eyes weren't wandering. Waitresses what you talking about?

I get the feeling that most of you were born or are currently living in Queens

Growing up in Yonkers I feel like its easier to get to the city (car, bus, or train) rather than living in the eastern part of Queens

But I'm saying, these girls are willing to go to QUEENS and spend the night out there?

Living out in the eastern part of Queens sucks. But Queens is actually not that far from Manhattan. It's actually closer than most people think.

Same thing with NJ. My commute to mid-town is shorter than a lot of my co-workers who live on the outer parts of Brooklyn Bronx Queens and SI. My commute is usually less than an hour home to office.

Well, I rarely go to bars in the city unless I'm going after work and if that's the case I have someone with me already who's down for the trip.

Haven't really tried to talk a chick into a ride all the way out to Queens. Plus I don't really like ******* spending the night unless I actually like them. So I stick to my area.

Thankfully, I'm about 10 mins from Manhattan using public transportation.

I've never in my entire life took a yamb from the city to my crib in Queens. Its their place or on to the next

Plus from my experience they usually live in some **** hole with roommates above a deli somewhere downtown or the UWS

This has happened to me way too often. Every time I go back to a girls place, it's usually her living with 3-4 roommates in some hole in the wall downtown. I'm not trying to **** you in your shared living room in some faux bedroom created by this thin piece of sheetrock, or worse--she lives in Harlem

I seldomly ever bring a girl back to my place just because I don't want her to know where I live and try to start something regular. I've learned my lesson after those hookers swindled me of my Fab's and Vermeers :smh:

I gotta be honest with you guys...some of the best females I've met were from queens

Agree or disagree?
