Also always got the vibe that despite his elite level of natural talent, Amare has low Bball iq with his signature tornado spins into nowhere and barreling into people.

Also since he was drafted out of HS he's been in either a pick and roll offensive system or Sn "offense."

Amare never developed as he should have iq wise because of his athleticism. He was a beast and did work off his raw talent alone for such a long time. These past few years are the first time he's had to actually learn how to play.

who knew his handles were that good

-JR gotta find his spots.
-Jose was on a roll.
-open shooters just gotta knock em down in rhythm.

I wouldn't say low either, I agree with the points brought up though. I didn't think he looked bad the first time out, plus I think if he was able to practice as much as the other guys it would help a great deal. I mean for the first time since 2010 he can come in with no injury and he's treated like he just got one, put him on the court until he can't be on the court. Good points also about the fact he only really ran PnR offense, Sn offense, but let's not forget the famous "Seven Seconds or Less", although that was entertaining basketball, their offense was their best defense. I think he'll catch on because it would be bad for him to have a bad season with no injuries.
 
i think you guys are looking too much into the preseason games. yeah, the last one was good, because they definitely seemed to grasp the triangle better, but projecting the season off of 2 games is premature. its still only been 2 games that theyve actually applied the new schemes against an actual opponent. i do think shump will have a good season though. not just because hes in a contract year, but he seems to have much more confidence than in the last couple seasons. it helps that he doesnt have to live in the woodson's doghouse and that phil envisions him in the teams future.
 
HBD Foam, management should give you free range today to go in on everybody you want in the NBA Season thread with out threat of the ban.
 
Thanks guise. Should've tried to get tickets to the game tonight cause I won't sniff that place during the regular season or playoffs (see what I did there)
