A man applied to almost 100 jobs under the name Jose. He never received a response from any of them. He one day thought of the idea of changing his name to Joe just to see if that was will change his prospects. This is the result

Thoughts?

not gonna lie..beginning of the vid..I thought dude was about to start the cypher off

It's real.

They'll also discriminate based on your address. I've personally applied to places with the exact same info, only difference being the address. Got call backs instantly on the resume with the address from nicer areas

:smh: and thats just on paper. colored people get judged physically every minutre

reminded me of this one time I showed up to an interview at this school I was going to and the first thing the lady said was "oh, I was expecting a guy with blonde hair and blue eyes to walk in"

after we sat down to talk she seemed lost and definitely looked like she was uncomfortable

bish was from Louisiana, she got fired for making a racist remark to an African American cat a week or something later.

Don't see the point. They will see he is Hispanic when he goes in for the interview.

I think it was Dateline that did a similar thing with a Black woman and they saw the same results. When companies thought she was White she got way more responses.

Even when you're trying to do the right thing you're still at a disadvantage.

"They say they want you successful, but then they make it stressful
You start keepin pace, they start changin up the tempo"

I got a white boy name I know the HR ppl be confused as hell when my black *** walk in
Fam I change my name to Jay on EVERYTHING now.

Coupled with filling out the education part with my college info and I was getting so many callbacks I didn't even know who was who and what the positions were anymore.

Fortunately, where im from in the Midwest accents are nonexistent so it's always been easy for me to don the white mask. They love it.

Take it right back off the second I leave.
