Oh yikes... is it me or did all of the size 9s on Ebay just jump up in price out of no where?

Some people ship high priced items with no signature confirmation or insurance.. I could have got em' several times but I don't have heart to do that to anyone because I wouldn't want it done to me. A few people tried it on me until they realized I had signature confirmation. I rather pay the extra $3-4 for piece of mind.

Seller can put insurance and sig confirmation but all the buyer has to do is say they sent something fake. One of my customers I middleman for sent some Columbias with all that and the dude filed a dispute saying he sent broken speakers.

Although it sucks there's so many scammers it's made my middleman business hit new heights over the last year and given me the chance to see some of the craziest shoes :pimp:

Damn... did the scammer win the case? Its best to take pictures at the post office or something. They'll always find a way around it though.

Just curious, do you act as a escrow service or something? Or do you simply find buyers for the shoes?

I know a lot of people go off of feedback but I recently purchased from a couple of 0 feedback users and transaction went smooth. I do know most of them are up to no good though. Surprisingly my transactions were good.

I see 0 feedback users doing pre-orders and selling stuff for a LOW below market value price (specifically sneakers)... How do they end up winning if PayPal would reverse the charge anyways? All I can think of is they're getting up front money for releases in order to pay for their shoes, they're taking the money out as soon as they get it and dont care if paypal charges back or they're sending a completely different item to the buyer in hopes they win a dispute?

Just want the thread to go back to normal $900 for 1s time for me to start buying more casual/dress shoes

I was lucky to get those for retail, but I did pay $350 for royals and told myself the same thing... It won't hurt as much when bl/reds are worth more later on.
350 for royals?  Must have been when they first released

Oh yeah the scammer won right away. Basically the scammer hit him up on IG and paid before he even sent pics which I told him was a red flag right from the start. Dude had a throw away number and everything :smh:

A lot of the times those pre orders would be up months before the release of a shoe. Before this year you only had 45 days (if I remember correctly) to file any type of chargeback and after that it was permanent. So you do a pre order for shoes that don't come out for two months, collect the money, and boom buyers are SOL. Luckily paypal changed it recently so the time to file any claim is longer.

As for what I do, I usually deal with trades and both parties ship me the shoes and I legit check them all, check condition, etc and then ship to each party. I've done right under 500 deals over the last two years. Sadly there's people impersonating me on Facebook/IG and scamming others so I'll be forced to make a website. I also handle lots of purchases where the seller ships to me and then the buyer gifts the seller directly. It doesn't fully eliminate the risk of a chargeback but makes it more difficult. I used to have people gift me directly until I found a chargeback of $1500 on my account smh. You can view all the shoes I've handled on IG @soleexchangesneaks (mods not trying to advertise or anything just showing the shoes I've been blessed to handle  )

Thank you. Did you end up getting your money back? I dont understand how sellers can do this without any item? Have  you messaged him? What was his response and whats he telling ebay/paypal?

Thats a nice business! I own a hosting company and also into web design etc whenever you're ready.

And thats crazy... did Paypal ask any proof from the seller? Did you ship the shoes out or your client?
