My problem is the people who complain about being called salty, are the MAIN people calling the ones who copped "hypebeasts."

At the end of the day, I was able to cop off NDC. If I'm called a hypebeast, because I like what I like so be it. Imma still rock them regardless.

You're not in each individuals head to know what they are really thinking so you putting everyone into one category isn't fair.

OF COURSE there are people who bought just because the hype/limited nature of the shoe but that isn't everyone.

If people can't understand this REASONING then they're just being stubborn.

I completely get what you're saying, but in today's sneaker culture, you can be sure 80% paying $800+ for it give no damns about the OG Mold or height. We're taking Jordans here. We aint copping Jordan's because of quality. Everyone has different reasons why they cop. I cop for nostalgia, shoes I couldnt get as a kid because Moms wasn't buying me shoes that cost more than $40 back when i was growing up (its now why my kids have 10 pairs each in their rotation - to the point where they dont give a damn about shoes). But then there are those who cop because its the popular thing to do (Which by the way, I have no problem with AT ALL).

Which is why I have to call a spade a spade here with this release. People went full blown ****** on this release.

Thats all. I'm going to stop contributing to the beating of the dead horse here. I know I'm guilty of it. Not much else going on here. I'm here for the lulz and occasional pics I see people post.

congrats on that retail pair. And really, who cares if someone calls you a hypebeast. I never understood why people were so offended by that word. Its just a word. We're all really hypebeast in some aspect in life.

prbly already blessed employees with em & dont have a good enough excuse to not drop for retail.... "shipment lost" or some other bs

I used to wonder how someone could come out of pocket for a pair of Yeezy's. Paying $2-3k for a shoe that retailed for $245. I think the shoe is pretty dope, don't get me wrong, but I would never pay that much. Even if I had a bunch of shoes I could flip that I didn't care for. That shoe is not worth it to me. I think this drop helped me understand tho.

Like I stated before, had these not been done by Fragment they would have been much easier to attain. They may have even sat or been going for as much as most the other 1's go for. Remastered or not. Look at the Columbia 4's for example...those are remastered and I see them go for $225-230 shipped, even retail. HYPE KILLS. When a shoe is this limited it KILLS those of us that truly want to wear them. IMO these were more limited than Yeezy's. These ARE done by Hiroshi Fujiwara. It is "remastered" and a mold more true to OG. All that contributed to resell unfortunately.

It just goes to show how much more people are savvy to shoe collecting/ hustling. Like someone stated there hasn't been a shoe this year or recently in my mind besides Yeezys that demanded this much money right after release. I think the lowest I saw anyone let these go for was $500. Thats was pre-order too. Had the seller held on to them Im sure he would have upped the price a bit. Also social media, shoe sites, and places like RIF/FC affected the market greatly. Since people like to price shoes based off them. Some people are not into shoes for the love, they are in it for the profit. Thats just how they way things have gone in the last 5 years.

I did not copp these because they are limited or because they were done by Fragment. I copped these because I truly liked them. Love the model, hyped up dunk or not. LOVE THE COLORWAY. This release helped me identify with someone who pays a ridiculous amount of money on something they like. I really like these. A LOT. Availability was small and drying up. Fakes are flooding the market. I honestly think they will only go up in value as the years pass, unless some crazy restock happens AND even if it does, look at Royals and how many times they restocked. For me it was simple....hold on to pairs that were impulse buys or I had doubles of and would never get around to wearing anyways or get these and have something I truly like and will wear.

I've done quite a bit of buying in the last 5 years that I think I've reached a point where I know I don't need anymore shoes. I got enough shoes to last me a lifetime. Im only getting shoes I truly like and will wear. These for me are what Yeezys are to others. I'd rather pay $800 now rather than more later too. To each his own I guess

NYC1s were doing similar numbers, but then they restocked. That's the power of being a limited shoe. If these were to start restocking what do you suppose would happen? No need to answer, I already know...

But the NYC's are ugly to me though. I wouldnt cop those for retail. I can't say that about Fragments. WOuld have easily doubled up if they were a normal 1 release.
