I don't think you quite get it.

No one is going to post on ebay saying they're selling fake fragments. They're going to post them as 100% authentic. This will bring the price down due to competition, this is simple and has happened in the past.

Not denying people won't pay money for a real pair, but when I log in to ebay and all the pairs are selling for 500 and stating 100% authentic...what would I buy? You seem to forget that these unauthorized pairs have even fooled places like FC and Rif...

There's a world of poeple out there trying to take advantage of people. And a world of people who don't know any better.

I DO get it.

I'am just on the other side of the fence - doing research, paying a premium for a real shoe, and honestly not nickle and diming which ends up getting burned.
 
why do you guys hope the resell doesn't plummet as the fakes get pumped out?

don't you guys want them to be cheaper?

This^ just the same as the breds, royals, 88's etc, authentics grab a premium now, specially with so few legit pairs and market drying up will only make the authentic shoe increase in value, only like 5 or 6 legit sz 12's left on the bay

I would love to double, but if fake pairs are selling at $500 then authentic pairs won't drop to $500.

If fake pairs sold for $150-$250 then sure I can see them dropping.

I'am being realistic.

88 3's are a terrible example because the price on them has dropped a lot.

But as far as breds and royals go, in 2014 I swear there was a point where they hit the 800 range, once Kanye wore them. China swooped in and they're averaging 400's now. When the whole grey market pandemic began.

I just dropped $800 on my second pair, pretty pumped that they are from NikeUK, looked like my lightning bolts are more embossed than my NDC pair

Bottega Veneta chelsea boots sat for years, he wears them and sold out everywhere. Same with the Saint Laurent Jodhpur's, Varsity Red 6's etc. The guy sells a $120 plain white tee and it sells out.

Kinstor only sells grey markets, but they're so good they don't need to use stock photos. People say you can hit them up on skype and they'll straight up send you pics of the exact shoe you're buying.
 
There most definitely is a Yeezy effect with shoes he wears.

Look at the flyknit trainer.

Joints would sit & hit discount & now you can't find a black or white pair for under $300/$400+
