What Thug eat don't make Bankroll ****.
i like thug . but to me , for every good song he has , theres like 10 that are flat out horrible . thats a rough ratio . its his "is he gay or not" antics and the constant reminder of wearing women's clothing that keeps the light on him . if it works it works .

no slight to thug , its just that because bankroll isn't over the top gimmicky he gets overlooked when his talent is stronger . bankroll doesn't have a 1:10 ratio for good music . . .

All that's cool and your opinion. You say his ratio is 1:10, I say it's close to 10:1 every single project going back to 1017 Thug. Hell Rich Gang 1 was 20:0 and A LOT of people feel that way.

Saying his antics or gimmicks are the only reason people like him is so wrong it's funny. The gimmicks and antics spend more time on the minds of his critics and detractors than his fans. Seriously, I don't even really know what you're referring to, I dont do the IG or Twitter so I'm out the loop. Only time I'm exposed to it is when it's posted in the thread here on NT. Yea he's a weirdo and habitual line stepper, he also may or may not be gay though he claims hetero  - none of those things have anything but negative effects on how people feel about his music.  Do the antics catch twitter eyeballs and generate attention? Sure, but to say they antics, gimmicks, or trolling are WHY people like his music is faulty logic.

Also there's no point in discussing the quality of Thug's music with me

I know as well as anyone that people's taste in music isn't rational and at the end of the day, people hear what they want to hear. In 2013 I used to HATE Thug's features, you couldn't tell me a damn thing otherwise. Instant skip no matter hard the rest of the song was. I finally sat down and gave 1017 an honest listen and it was like a switch went off and I saw the creativity.  If you're set on the fact that he's got a couple good singles and that's it, nobody's gonna change your mind but you.

I really can't say Bank Roll is more talented than Thug with a straight face, but it seems like a pointless exercise since they're really not comparable artist. Bank Roll talented af though.

Anyway it's all besides the point. At the end of the day the whole point was what Thug is or isn't doing has nothing to do with Bankroll success, and I feel like I've been seeing a lot of that rapper A is trash and wrongfully impeding rapper B's success stuff here lately.  Seems overly petty.

As for Bankroll, he's got a massive opportunity here with Banksgiving. With the amount of music that gets produced these days it's so difficult to stay consistent. It's pretty rare for an artist to follow up a project like Life of Hot Boy 1 with something as strong as 2 was.

The reason Future is on and people are ******* with him so tough is because he's dropping amazing music with game changing consistency.

Thug's fan base is what it is because everything he drops is really really good front to back. Not because he wears weird clothes and act sus as hell for Twitter likes.

If Banksgiving is as good as the last two tapes, front to back, Bankroll's will continue to elevate his level. He's already in rare air.

i feel you and you have a right to feel how you do about his quality of music too . but you can't be serious about the other stuff g . thug is constantly in the media and its never about music . that keeps his name buzzing even if a project may or may not go unnoticed . the perception that he's big because he's always being talked about is what helps him . i have a lot of thugs music and its rare that i run across anyone that knows anything besides danny glover or check

and again , i like thug , but no g . i just can't buy that . people would definitely still like him , but the same amount ? iono . if it weren't for the womens clothing , his antics on twitter and ig , and him saying things "we smoking penises" , i can't  say his fan base or light would be what it is . granted , thats a part of the total package . and thats fine . but under your logic , peewee should be just as big ...

Honestly since barter 6 thug been on fire. Between that, Ss 1 and 2 there's like 3 songs I don't like per project. Seeing how a year ago only songs I liked were 2 cups stuffed and the blanguage. 1017 still not good to me tho, the 1st 3 tracks cool then it's [emoji]128078[/emoji].

I'm really shocked hot boy wasn't bigger then what it was tho. If bamkroll successfully complete this 3 peat tho I think he will separate himself from all them other dudes. Hopefully people start paying attention then.

Dude think about what you're saying. Everything you typed has NOTHING to do with how people perceive the quality of his music.

We're not talking about popularity, buzz or being hot. We're talking specifically about the music.

When I hear there's a new Thug tape, I go download and listen. I then judge accordingly. Whether or not he wore a skirt to his last media appearance or sucked 1000 ****'s on Twitter the night before, it has zero impact on what's being heard in that moment.

Longway my ***** but even without the trolling he wouldn't be anywhere close to Thug popularity wise, this ***** literally JUST started rapping seriously

By the time Longway dropped his first tape, MPA Vol. 1 with Gucci in 2013, Thug was already 4 tapes in with 3 local hits with Rich Kidz, Guapo and Cash Out  and that's before Stoner became the unofficial Nae Nae song when the dance started blowing up nationally

if y'all say thug is popping off musically i have no choice but to accept that , maybe I'm just not seeing it and i like some of his music

your missing my point . thats how YOU and real thug fans perceive him , but imo his image and the buzz around him has a lot to do with people who listen to his music . most rap fans are casual fans and they're drawn to what they think they're supposed to be listening to . I'm a huge future fan , since ds and true story but I'm not gonna front like future has all these new fans just because ds2 is that good . ds2 is my fav album this year , but the whole aura of who his is and lean culture has helped spread that too . he dropped 4 dope tapes , no question , but A LOT of people still didn't believe until march madness and trap _ . then it became the wave to rock with future . i can't honestly say if future's image and the drug thing wasn't what it was that he'd have the same amount of fans and that ds2 would lead to wattba (which a lot of future fans hated) . so even tho id rock with a new future project regardless of what happened between him and ciara or what kinda drugs he likes , i know there are a lot of people that make the decision to listen to him solely based on that perception and the amount of meme's they see on ig . doesn't mean the music isn't important , but image , perception , and aura has always played a part

im not mad at your opinion tho

All original as far as I know. This is straight fire though. D Rich laced him something serious, along with some of the other producers I'm not that familiar with.

Danny Devito (too short :smh:)
Riggs
Alpina Beamer (too short   :smh:)
M.O.B.
Trap *****
Poppin ****
Fake ******
Take Over Your Trap
Live Your Life
:pimp: :pimp: :pimp:

DRich x Bankroll might be my favorite combo at the moment :pimp:

He's come along way from getting his beats finessed by Shawty Redd

Alpina Beamer :x
