This is a support group for all the NTers out there, myself included, trying to knock this super disgusting habit. I came to the realization this morning that I want to knock it off after smoking a cigarette and my hand smelling like straight tar. Let's motivate each other and give tips and tricks to stay off.

Theoretically, this sounds asinine but:

i vote you turn your smokers habit, into a drinking habit. That way you feel the affects more immediately. Then you'll want to exercise control with how much and when you drink, then you can whittle the addiction back to a regular persons level.

Also, if you go like three days or something in a sauna you sweat out the nicotine in your system, making it easier to kick the habit. It's something like that, look it up.

I smoked newports for like 2 years.
Started because of the green lol...its like smoke an L then smoke a port.

They way I quit tho was a combination of alot of things but one thing I did was I would smoke one and put it out halfway.
I would do that until I had a pack of half smoked cigs......and you still have that urge to smoke so youre gonna smoke that pack and the taste is so much worse its like why the hell am I doing this lol

Think about how it taste...the smell...etc before you smoke one.
It really is nasty
If you can get past the first 2 weeks your good....youre gonna feel like you want to rip your balls off sometimes but its worth it for a healthier life.

I'm in with you brethren. I've only been off for a few weeks. I had stopped last July 28th but fell off in February. Now I'm trying to get the non smokers rate for life insurance.

Also, I'm trying to fall back on the green. My desire is to start making brownies instead of smoking anything.

I have a cigar maybe a few times a year so that won't be an issue.

Best to you all! We can do it!

In for tips. I'm quitting green and tobacco simultaneously, starting now.
It's day one and I'm as moody as a pregnant woman smh...

For me, after the 3rd day I forget about smoking weed. Keep reminding yourself on the positives and try to keep busy.

I have no experience with cigarettes, I may smoke a couple if I'm drunk but I immediately regret it. Have you tried e-cigarettes? A lot of people have found success. Good luck.

Not doing any e cigs, nicotine gum, etc. Quitting cold turkey is the way I'm going to tackle this.

I've quit both(cigs and trees) on multiple occasions but eventually it starts back up again. :frown: For about a decade I was smoking multiple blunts daily. Finished school, all that good stuff. But I want a better job so I went on hiatus again from the green. I barely smoke cigs cause I despise the smell but the first few days of no green equals mood swings and what not. The best bet is to stay occupied and replace that habit with a positive one like working out, reading, drawing or whatever interests you put to the side and have been meaning to resume. Stay strong.

I don't see myself ever stopping on the green. I just want to cut back and eliminate the smoking aspect of it. I haven't had a brownie in years, but I would much rather come in and have a few bites vs smoking.

As backwards as it sounds, this might work. But like @allenpak said, cigs and alcohol go together like white on rice.

Appreciated.

But cigs + alcohol = cookies + milk
That was the hardest part when I was quitting.

Hell, I still smoke a few when I'm drinking heavy.  Thankfully I don't get hammered like I used to.

The patch worked for me bros.  It took awhile to get used to it and I stayed chewing on gum, straws, toothpicks, etc.  But eventually the cravings died down.  Except when drinking.

I turned 30 a couple weeks ago, made a promise to myself to quit smoking for good. I've been a Newport pack a day smoker for 10years. (Mix in 3 years of green smoking, 4 years of Black and Milds, and 2 years of Camel Turkish Silver)

I bought this hookah pen joint and been using it like every other day for two weeks. From going from 20 cigs a day to only 5 in the past two weeks is monumental for me and giving me nothing but hope that I'll be off this hookah pen and cigs completely within a month or two.

The liquid im using DOES have nicotine so that keeps my cravings in check, but im honestly not smoking as much.

As weird as it sounds I could never get hooked on cigarettes. All my boys around me would be going through packs a day of the 100 ports and is hit them anytime I was buzzin or like SC kid SC kid talked about after the blunt but I just couldn't pick it up. I'll smoke a black & mild on a night with a lot of drinking but rarely smoke those anymore. I just started smokin green again after going cold turkey last month. I had to stop for this job I was trying to get

...I got the job and went through a 3.5 the day I got the call :smokin I can go cold turkey and will have to whenever I start a family but the green is always gonna be apart of me :smokin

I'm thinking it will be easier this time around bc I'm trying to limit my drinking to Sundays when I watch football.

Damn that cig goes so nice with the drink.

I been smoking a lot of cigarettes lately, even though I have the vape pen and liquid. The reason is when the battery dies for the vape, or the taste of the vape is unbearably bad I go back to cigarettes. I always tell myself this will be the last pack, but whenever I'm drinking I don't hesitate to smoke one.

This will be my last pack for sure and just go greenhouse efficient from here on out.

what makes it bad for me is that I can easily buy loosies 2 for $1 here. Then when I want I can always bum off my aunt, but she has those long *** 100s.

Wen I was up there some dude workin at a hotel bought a loosie for a dollar from my friend
Was like :wow:
