im moving across country, from southern cali to south carolina..

I'm in Odessa Texas now..

Thanks for all the offers though..

Aye bro, I might be moving from Miami to San Bernardino or San Diego/San Ysidro for this Fed job in the next couple months, I see Palm Springs is pretty close. Would those 2 spots be a comfortable place to live for the next 5-10 before I maybe come back to Miami? and which would be better?

SD

Yeah no doubt SD but its also going to cost u a lot more, probably look at areas around there I personally think SB is a dump along with the rest if the inlnd empire.

My god it seems as if the deeper south u go the worst the drivers are...

I swear every single person who was driving like an idiot turned out to be on their cell phone.

I'm in Mississippi, meridian to be exact I should arrive at my destination tomorrow around 3pm.

Thanks guys I'm so glad we left a Day earlier,

We should be on the road for about 7 hours which aint much when u consider we've been doing 12 hour days.

Its been sunshine and blue skies the entire trip so far.

Texas had terrible drivers but Louisiana and Mississippi just makes u lose faith in humanity, you got people texting while driving vehicles that they have already wrecked.

Mad truck drivers not signaling one dude even took his phone off his ear to record all of us flipping him off.

I kept forgetting that Cali is one of the few states where being in your phone while driving is a crime.

yes i know its a big change, but i have always loved the south.

i told my job about a week ago, im working the rest of this month.

the last show i have coming up is janelle monae.

we are packing up our stuff  in a u-haul towing our car and driving for 3 days, i have done this trip before but from ga to ca when i was younger, on the greyhound about 3 times.

i lived in ga for about 3 years then came back here in 2000 and have been here ever since, never wanted to come back.

anyway anybody here live in south carolina north augusta to be exact?

we have a place to stay rent free and we have a nice amount of savings, i dont know what im going to do for work yet but ideally would like to meet other music oriented individuals.

done working the 9-5, would like to get serious about producing.

any pointers on anything, thoughts or trolling me is welcomed.
Im not in North Augusta but music scene kind of dead here in SC

You'd be better off making that move to Atlanta

But you did say rent free so maybe stack up for a few months

But also I love the South in general

Nahhh...NC is pretty diverse and got quite a few decent areas to live.

There's hick areas but you can say that about any damn state...even cali got the klan

Most states in the US are pretty much uninhabitable. Only states worth relocating to are NY, Va, Illinois and California. Florida if you're retiring. Other states are pretty much trash.

Pretty sure I would rather live in Seattle than anywhere in VA

El Oh El

Great Falls would like to have a word with you

And without even that exaggeration, I'd still take VA over Seattle.

No disrespect to Seattle, but the entire DC/MD/VA area is a great place to raise a family and work. You get the city, suburbs, and the country aspect of living depending on where you decide to stay.

And to OP, I hope you enjoy your new home fam. That southern hospitality and country living is great. I love the south. People from other places just don't understand how great the south really is.

Lived in the South and family is from the South. The South is cool for its relatively mild weather and cheap COL. Nothing else special about it.

I'm not even that big on Seattle but for that poster to suggest that VA was one of the few select states worth moving to was just absurd IMO. Seattle was just the first city that came to mind in a long line of cities I would choose over VA.

This place is dope, the people are mad friendly.

Went to some greek fest thing on friday in augusta then a hispanic one on saturday.

Then yesterday sunday i came here to charleston, everything about this place is great IMO.

I went to cop records on thursday and ended up with 25 of em for 20 bucks...

They wouldve cost me over 100 in cali, i didnt even make it to the main section all bargain bin diggs, but they still had unplayed heat.

My girls brother showed me his AR 15 and other goodies and my girls dad has an arsenal and wants to take us to a gun show. Cali was a pain for guns.

The only thing i dont like are the drivers...

Holy crap theyre horrible.

What part do you live in if you dint mind me asking?

Edit: nvm just saw u say charleston.

We are here visiting her brother and she has some
Interviews in downtown area.

Try fleet landing for seafood too. The stuffed hushpuppies are :smokin

If you're in the mood for steak, try Hall's Chophouse. Kind of pricey but the food and service is top notch...
