this is just where our next move is, hell ill prolly end up in cali again, 10 years from now.

im not against any place, well besides florida, michigan, ohio and texas.

nothing against those places but they are not appealing to me.

massachussettes looks nice, along with those other eastcoast states.

Why do people in Cali act like the space between them and NY is straight wasteland?

Why do people not from Cali or NY assume we think nothing of the states in between?

I've been fortunate to work for a production company that travel's every week when in season. I've been all over the dirty dirty and have an appreciation for it. SC was crazy wack for my liking. I can see why OP is going there on a music level. The south is like Hollywood for rappers/producers. Congrats to him, that's a true dream chaser.

From SC. Been to North Augusta a couple times. Hear the city livens up for St. Patty's. Good luck to you though bro.
Hope the producing thing works out for you, like previous posters have said you're definitely in the right area.

Some of the homes I seen passing through were :wow: 8) :smokin But looked vacant & had mobile homes behind them.
Asked my homie & he said they were travelers/'gypsies'. Idk, but it's dope how they're all winning. :smokin

Do u have kids?
no i do not.

and we do not plan on having any soon.

we are both young and like having money to spend on ourselves.

i personally prefer everything else besides cali to live in, its nice to visit but you really have to be ballin to live comfortably.

not saying you cant live a nice life with a medium income, but you will be living in an apartment.

if you are lucky you can find a decent house to rent but those are rare.

i like scenery peace and quiet, not a city cat at all, traffic and corwded places are not for me.

theres alot of places i will still like to visit like NY, not just the city but the spots with lots of green scenery.

my girl just said we will be living a street over from where this is, she went to school with some people that live in this particular area and that they're very nice people.

I just moved to Florida and drove past SC. Looked pretty dead and boring driving thru the state. Gas prices though :pimp:

Nice, hope you enjoy it. I have been thinking about moving somewhere myself in a couple years too.

Good luck OP,not familiar with that area but I've spent some time in Myrtle Beach,Charleston, and Spartanburg..It takes some guts to move all the way cross country :smokin

I was raised in Charleston and in live in Columbia now. Theres not much in North Augusta but best of luck with the move. The cost of living/gas prices in SC are awesome. And Charleston might be the best city to live in SC but with music, like others have said, you might have to go to Atlanta.

People just don't know, man.

Moved out of CA back in my early 20s. I miss it, man. Miss it every day, but do NOT miss the costs.

Safe travels, my man.

Thanks guys,

Funny how the stuff some people don't like about it I love.
I just need peace quiet and lots of space to work on my craft.

I've noticed a ton of people moving here from California. They all say unless you are in a few select places it's not that great.

I went to college in Savannah which is walking distance to SC lol but only been to Hilton head in my adult life, SC I assume will be relaxing and stuff, use that time to find yourself and develop yourself .

Friendliest City in America? Head to Charleston, S.C.

Southern hospitality reigns supreme in a new survey from Condé Nast Traveler rating both the friendliest and unfriendliest cities in America. The top spot? For the second year in a row, simply head south to Charleston, South Carolina.

Visitors praised Charleston as a “quaint and special little gem” and for its underrated local culture, history, scenic beauty and food. Just behind Charleston, Savannah comes in as the second friendliest city in America.

As for least friendly? That dubious honor goes to Newark, N.J., described by one reader as an "airport city.' The full list:

Friendliest Cities:

1. Charleston, South Carolina

2. Savannah, Georgia

3. San Antonio, Texas

4. Telluride, Colorado

5. New Orleans, Louisiana

6. Fort Worth, Texas

7. Jackson Hole, Wyoming

8. Key West, Florida and Nashville, Tennessee

9. Asheville, North Carolina

Friendly for who?

Norcal is the only other area in the U.S. I think i would actually want to move to. Interesting to see you're moving away from the State, but to each their own. Good luck with everything OP

It sucks

I swear it seems like a place people shouldn't even be living in...

Death valley type ish..

Unlivable climate, all dirt, no trees.

Just looked up Palm Springs on google images

Looks like a desert oasis
