I wonder if Obama chooses not to get waves because it would seem too "black"

CNN, MSNBC, PBS all showed it. The major 4 networks (ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX) didn't show it. We all know why they didn't show it. They said they didn't want to disrupt regularly schedule programming, but we all know that these 4 major networks are run by GOP interest affiliates and they don't want most of the country to know whats going on.

Bo knows they won't pass that bill and certainly won't push for reform if the incoming president is Republican either. It will be quite some time before we see actual reform.

I hope things happens for those on and/or qualified deferred action to help them gain citizenship. Even if they are paying taxes, they still aren't granted many of the same privileges we are as citizens. :smh:

But if he was announcing a war or the approval of the Keystone Pipeline, they would've been all over it. Media is a joke sometimes.
 
Get ready for tax hikes guys, because how else will these new immigrants get free healthcare, free food, free housing, education, etc. Also, get ready for fines hikes, ticket fee hikes, other indirect government payment like increased land usage fees like bridge toll fees, likely increase in price in general due to more demand by a higher population. And people wonder why they always increase the tuition, because it's an indirect tax fee to help the poor instead of our Veterans.

How practical is that nonsense? Talk about footing a bill, but asking them to deport every single illegal?

It already costs $18 Billion a year to secure the borders. Adding more weaponry to the borders won't fix the problem.

The problem is it is already a difficult route to legal immigration, some people that have been waiting since at least 1994. The 11 million is such a small percentage of our population as it stands anyway.

lol....they built the Great Wall of China in 206 B.C and we can't build a fence and deport them all?  Give me a break.

The problem is that there is disgustingly large part of the population who leech off of tax paying americans. They steal jobs and sit on welfare that they don't deserve. The line is long? Deal with it. The fact that we have a limp wristed president who openly says tidy it is okay to break the law is pathetic. And the whole giving drivers licenses to illegals is absolutely hilarious. Like what? They are ILLEGAL. Just let them all in, close the doors, toss em in vans, and drop then off in Tijuana. America, the land of the free stuff for everybody.

^ They could self deport if they implement more strict laws. So the illegals can go on their way back. You think it's 11 million, but that number was some time ago. Add in their anchor babies. And add in other people who have expired visas, are overstaying after they're done with their international schooling here in the U.S.

The economy won't grow if there's a bigger competitive job market. Think of it like this, you bake a pie, it's all for you, then your best friend shows up, then another best friend, a friend, and a friend's friend and their friend's friends show up at your place, eventually there won't be enough pie for everyone. That's not economical growing.

There's already enough protests for higher wages here in the U.S. And an ongoing protest to prevent tuition hikes for UC.
 
the economy won't grow until you give corporations incentives to bring jobs back into the country instead of outsourcing them. the economy won't grow until we adjust the corporate tax laws that encourage corporations to keep money overseas. the economy's issues aren't the result of illegal immigrants. the economy's issues are a result of overregulation and bs legislation.
 
Nobody is saying illegals cause all of our economic problems. But they greatly contribute to them.
