Was coming in here looking for a group for the weekly strike. You still got a spot or you guys good?
I figured this out before level 5Im at 25 and the game is starting to get boring and repettitive
As much as it sucks this is an MMO. Many aren't looking at it from that perspective but that's why the story was so lackluster and open ended. The Destiny Universe is huge but feels empty even the tower has a number of large doors that seemingly serve no purpose. The plan is to release a constant stream of content over years and years to come up. They want it to be an MMO wrapped in a great looking FPS costume.
Looks like Destiny may have on-disc dlc, that you'll be paying for in the coming months.
Short snippet of an article articulating where I'm getting at. I understand when people say it's not an MMO but it doesn't really fit into the FPS category.
The thing with Destiny is that it doesn’t neatly fit into any existing gaming category, instead borrowing liberally from several.
After some discussion with my friends (and you’ll definitely want to play with a buddy or two when possible), the best way to describe it is probably a Halogame with a twist of the Borderlands series, plus some other massively multiplayer titles like World of Warcraft and Planetside thrown in.
While I don’t necessarily want to call it a straight FPS, because it isn’t, it certainly acts like one in many ways, and the RPG elements are there enough to be noticeable.
