Am i alone when i despise people using a health regen primary for HM crota? Other better things to use for that exotic slot. That or yall need to get your defense/strafe skills up.

Not everyone has the luxury of having armor that regens health when you pick up an orb. It's a team game, you should be supporting your team, not despising them for using their weapon of choice. If someone wants to use a Suros, who cares? It affects you how?

And no, I don't use a Health Regen primary at all. None of mine are leveled up. But I wouldn't despise someone for using the weapon they like.

Hunger of Crota and Black Hammer get the job done almost as effectively. Don't get me wrong, Bjallerhorn is king and my weapon of choice but I run MIDA on HM Crota for agility perks. If I didn't have helmets that have Health Orb Regen, I'd probably level up and run a Suros.

How pissed would y'all be if I kept wiping because I despised using a Suros to regen my health? That's some backwards logic.

And why do you need Icebreaker on HM Crota? Not once in that whole fight can I think of a reason to. LDR/Spear/other sniper gets the job done and you won't run out of secondary ammo during the Crota fight. Even if you did you could kill the thrall and get more. I just noticed too that I never use my Icebreaker anymore. Concessions I've made for my Bjallerhorn...

you must not been with a team who cant down crota because they lack the firepower because they rather use an exotic primary. please tell me how you going to down crota with hezens vengeance or one way ticket on HM?

I watch boomers so the encounter is different from me, even though recently I switched back to my hammer and gally. I was using the IB because of infinite ammo and you can't rely on killing for green packs, that's random. I don't think the LDR stuns them like the hammer or IB does.. Our team has a very favorable load out so it's something we don't have to experience but maybe his team isn't so favorable and he rather use that exotic slot for something else

I've never had that experience. Sounds like you need a new raid team to run with. 

But at the same time, would you rather your team keep dying before you even get out of the crystal room to get to Crota? I'd tell them to switch to an exotic heavy after clearing the crystal room of knights and acolytes then pop a heavy. They shouldn't need health regen again until ogres, if that.

Then again, you would have to assume they have a Bjallerhorn. A lot of guardians still don't.

Yea, but any Rocket Launcher with tracking is better than one without tracking. Tracking doesn't make it super easy, but it makes it easier.

I mean in terms of using a health regen gun, it's preference. If you are playing with people who have bad survivability skills then you have no choice but allow that player to do so.

I see your point but what good is a guardian if they keep making oversoul pop up and causing the group to wipe? Catch 22 I guess. Not dying and popping that oversoul should be the #1 priority. Having some other guardians fire off a couple more rockets is a small price to pay than having to waste your time attempting over and over again. 

That is kinda foul in your situation though. If he's got a Bjallerhorn, he should at least switch to it when downing Crota on the rocket team.

Plus there ways of not getting hit in the crystal room. If you dont have a titan with BoL and if youre not shooting across the opposite side while hugging the wall and getting your back covered then youre doing everything wrong.

Yea I could see running the Suros/Red Death for the beginning clearing of the room, but after that they should switch to an exotic heavy for sure. Honestly, there is no reason that everyone does not have Truth/GGhorn by now. Of course not all have the GGhorn, but they sold Truth like 3-4 times now so people should definitely have that one at least if they are raiding. Even if they don't I would think that they would have Hunger of Crota/Thunderlord or something that is 331 damage with tracking or something. If I saw someone rocking the Hezens in the Crota raid because they refused to switch to their GGhorn of all things because they wanted to run their Red Death instead, I would probably talk to the rest of the guys I knew in the raid and have him booted

@bLaZ3n, yea you already know we going to have to try and get those huter helmets we need now. I at least have to buy 2 engrams. I think I have the motes to buy 3 though at least.

Side Note:

Hunter made it to level 26 in 6 hours and 12m. That is including the time me going back to the tower and grabbing engrams to decrypt and swapping out to the higher level armor that I had saved for them to go past level 20, so I was probably right around 6 hours flat. 

Grinding those ROC strike this weekend since I am about 1k rep from hitting rank 2 with Vanguard and then I can guy another armor piece. If you see me on and need to run some strikes too hit me up. Shoutout to #TMT with the patrol grinding to help me level the rep and the player

. I haven't even finished the Moon missions with this character and I hit level 20

. Bos talking about he got a friend that grinded to level 20 by only doing Cosmordrome patrols and doing no missions though

. I should be ready to go on this last weekly strike and nightfall with the gucci bag by Sunday though

Don't need an exotic or even the gjallo to down Crota in hard mode. The biggest help is having a tracking rocket. I personally use the hunger most of the time and am just fine. Just need a team that will actually shoot rockets at the same time.

My boy waves little brother actually has a gally and chooses to run hard light and an un leveled vendor launcher instead. He has had the gally since before the dlc and doesn't even have wolf packs on in smh people like this make me cringe. I get that you like to use what ever weapon when your playing alone but when your doing a team activity like hard mode Crota you should use what ever load out is best for the team so your not just leeching and causing wipes

thats not even the worst part. Homie has a mic but chooses not to use it at all. Firing rockets mad early because he can't hear us say shoot. I'm got so sick of the bs I told him he can't raid with us till he uses his mic and maxes his gally. Ri-God damn-diculous

It's safe to say we all know/raid with one guy who does things that are straight questionable.

We got a regular who was the last to hit 32 and constantly gets the backpack. After 4 weeks of having the hunger of crota he finally maxed it out. So we run the raid last night and he comes in with a stock vex and a stock secondary and his max hoc... Smh

Anyways, I don't see anything wrong with using an exotic primary to heal health and even as the main primary as long as the heavy is a tracking rocket launcher
