Destiny Thread (Bungie) - 9/9/14

Many people thought that the upgrade/ascension process only existed for Vanilla and TDB items, but this also goes for HoW weapons.

Since attack/defense nodes are no longer present on weapons and armor;

  • Vendor weapons will come with 331 attack, and armor with 36 light each. To get them to 365 attack and 42 light (level 34), you will need to ascend them with etheric light (just like you would any other legendary, like Fatebringer)
  • Prison of Elders gear, however, will be maxed out by default. PoE Weapons will come with 365 attack, and PoE armor will come with 42 light. So the grind will be to unlock the perks, but you will still have max damage/level on your gear :smile:
  • As for Vanilla and Tha Dark Below gear, they will still retain their attack/defense nodes, which will need to be leveled up in order to 'Ascend' them to 365 and 42 light.

So essentially all attainable armor post the 2nd expansion will be able to hit 42 light? Just by different means?

I wonder how the game will be after the DLC. I think I already peaked but I still enjoy it.
Leveled my mythoclass up finally and it's my fav primary right now.
 
Almost done preparing my main character for HoW. I'm levelling up all factions to 99% besides my main faction (FWC) so I can rank them all up pretty much instantly after the DLC drops. That'll hopefully get me a few free new guns or armor. I'm also making sure I have max vanguard and crucible marks.
Edit: Just got all factions to ~10 rep away from the next rank on my main. Just need about 20 more crucible marks :smokin

Gonna try to do this for my other 2 characters as well but I may not have enough time.
There's still the commendations though, in the stream I saw they can be turned in for 250 rep each and right now I have about 70 commendations

I suggest you all do the same or at least to some extent so you can get new gear as soon as HoW drops.
Also complete a bunch of bounties the day before HoW on all characters so you can immediately level up whatever new guns or gear you have.

About to run the nightfall right now jump in if anyone wants to do it. Psn: str8struggling
 
I need a nightfall with my newly leveled up character. He's at level 28. If anyone is down I'll Carry myself then switch out at the end. Also need 2 normal crotas and the VOG chest if anyone has it :/

I think I have the chest. And maybe a HM crota CP. Dont remember
