Pretty sure he was making a blanket statement about using the Thorn in general. He didn't say "You are trash/lame for using Thorn." He just said Thorn requires no skill and only lames use it. Now Frost would say something like "You got your jimmies rustled, so you must be an avid Thorn user."

"PS Dudes" though? That must be because @Biggie62  said that Frost  normally uses a Hawkmoon instead. Don't worry, in a week or 2, you will have the chance to use one as well

Speaking of that....we were talking last night....how much you guys want to bet that one of those PS exclusive guns, Xur will sell the very first Friday of TTK? I am betting Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo or 4th Horseman. 

I also told @illsupra  that an XB user is going to have the 4th Horseman drop for them before he can get one himself and he had damn near a year head start

For someone who came in a little late, is there any point in chasing legendary Raid weapons like VoC, Fatebringer or exotics?

For the raid weapons...only to say that you have them really. They said that they will be viable at the initial drop, but also said that there will green weapons just as powerful, if not more, at the beginning as well. 

Exotics...yea I would still try to get exotics because most of them will have blueprints to make them the same damage level as the new exotics that are coming out as well.

They also said that by dismantling old legendaries you will be upgrading your new ones. No one is sure what that means exactly as Bungie hasn't talked about the specifics. I've kept a lot of stuff though just for this reason.

Dammit now you explain that Biggie!? I was wondering what the heck you meant last night. Here you and Frost were making re-roll and dismantle weapons in my vault for armor parts

I started back in August as a 24 and got up to 34 pretty quick, but I missed out on a lot of Exotics and Raid gear.

I only have MIDA, Hard Light, Plan C, Gjallarhorn, Black Hammer, Fang of Ir Yut, The Summoner, The Messenger and Oversoul Edict. There might be something else decent in my vault, but I wouldn't even know :wow:

To say you started less than a month ago (on "end game content"), and have all of that already, is a pretty good start though. Just do the exotic bounties if you get any of them for those weapons and you at least find someone on here with the checkpoint for VoG to try your luck at the chest for loot too. Crota raid is quick enough or you could try to find groups looking to pick up someone from like the bridge or Deathsinger to do that quickly as well.
 
To be honest, I totally regret stepping away from this game when I did.

I was a launch day player who ended up stepping away for a long while. I was able to get up to 24 like last November I think and then saw the grind it was going to take to get my level up higher. None of my buddies were ever on and I wasn't too active on here, so I didn't even have anyone to run VoG with and ended up putting the game down. And this was before The Dark Below came out as well.

The Taken King piqued my interest back in the game and ended up biting on The Dark Below and House of Wolves and had a small crew to run with.

Gjallarhorn dropped for me the week after Xur sold it on a Nightfall Strike, I got MIDA from my first treasure key on PoE, Black Hammer dropped for me on Crota, I bought Plan C and Hard Light dropped on Nightfall as well.

I'm thinking about trading in my reggie copy of Destiny since I now have TTK on preorder since there is a 30% trade in bonus at Best Buy, meaning I wont have Destiny until the TTK is released. ...don't need 2 discs with the same damn content lying around collecting dust ....stupid Bungie not offering better alternatives to early adopters.

So the only place to get the $40 DLC only is the PS store and Best Buy don't allow GCU to work with digital games (Which needs to be changed asap) is also stupid, why cant the TTK digital DLC be sold at all retail locations ....and does anyone have any news regarding the $20 collectors edition bonuses?

TTK is looking pretty dope but no way I am gonna manage Destiny and MGS.

So the new heavy weapon sword has ammo and can't be used once the ammo runs out, works just like any gun with ammo . :smh:
 
I missed the twitch stream... What the heck I'd the court of oryx? I saw it on Twitter... It seems like a poe or something?
