Destiny Thread (Bungie) - 9/9/14

Yea I mean the system for bb and Amazon is set up for generic stuff. This taken King blunder isn't something they would have accounted for because it is such an atypical item. Rest assure, the values will be updated once they see a trend or get enough complaints.

The thing with Amazon tho is that they know that DLC codes have been redeemed b/c when you attempt to purchase any used game from them you will see the message saying "DLC codes may be missing or already redeemed" .....everyone should know to never buy a used game from Amazon and expect the codes to work, now at gamefly the codes usually work.

Right... But they don't know that it's the exact same disc with an "unlock" code included. It's definitely an atypical release because the lazy path activision took.

Also, codes are assumed to be redeemed. Remember when EA used to include those one time use codes for people to play online? We never had any issues trading those games in either.

Im taking the paper code out the package, I don't even want them to notice it or ask about it.

That's what I always do. Like I traded in batman yesterday. Before I did, I took out the papers that had the Harley and I think scarecrow DLC (didn't even realize it was in there when I was playing the game ). No questions are ever asked.

So what do you guys think of ttk so far?

I am enjoying the game much more now with the TTK content. We ran through the main story fairly quickly, but there's so much content after that in the form of quests to keep you busy for awhile. I don't know how many quests there are, but they seem to keep coming and the rewards are worth it for the most part.

I haven't done the Court of Oryx yet and with the Raid starting on Friday, I can see myself playing for quite awhile.

I agree with this, the main story was kinda short but they are plenty quests left to do. We didn't touch the crucible or vanguard playlist yet, hit level 39 with around 200 light level in 3 hours. I also like how the weapons and armor you are equip with can increase or decrease your light level, also in having green and blue gear that are more powerful than year 1 exotics gear makes it exciting to acquire the new TTK gear.

Also the warlock's stormcaller subclass is hella OP, and makes me very curious about the other 2 new sub classes- the warlocks extended melee and chain electrocutions are insane people. :smokin

Just wait until you play with a NightStalker! They hit that void tether, then a Stormcaller follows with that arc chain.....

It's unlimited critical damage for 10 seconds :wow:

Really enjoying things this time around as well. I remember that a few of us were initially excited when HoW dropped, and that content felt like an upgrade of TDB.

But this almost feels like a whole new game! I'm getting all of the enjoyment of decrypting engrams and finding new things to do that we originally felt with the Vanilla game almost a year ago.

P.S. I never thought I'd spend 3 hours patrolling the Dreadnaught on Day One.... That's how awesome TTK is :D

Co-sign on the gear. While I know the thrill will end up subsiding over time, right now, trying to acquire 280 legendary gear is fun. Plus there's the Raid gear we can acquire and Year 2 Exotics to hunt down. After yesterday, I'm a level 40 with a 240 light level and the legendary sword :smokin

I like the changes with TTK, brings new life to Destiny. The titan new subclass also is pretty beast. I am gonna use that relic to jump to Level 25 for a Titan.

When you decrypt a green engram and get that new blue item

Going to purchase and DL the expansion tonight. Hearing good things about TTK.

Hopefully, I'll be able to run raids and getting involved with more people that are playing.

Is there a confirmed list of methods to acquire Legendary Marks?

It looks like you can get 15 from doing the daily Crucible playlist, 20-25 from doing the Daily and Heroic Strikes, from doing certain quests and you can get like 3-4 from dismantling Year 2 Legendary gear.

You need to be level 40 to start earning Legendary Marks.

You get 15 Legendary Marks for completing the Daily Heroic Story mission (level 41, recommended 240 Light level).
Remember, this is now account-wide, so you can’t farm 45 Legendary Marks with your three characters. You do it once, and that’s it until the following day.

You get 15 Legendary Marks for hitting the Daily Crucible Match. Again, this is account-wide.

You get 10 Legendary Marks from the Weekly Heroic Strike. All three of your characters can benefit from this.

Some story missions reward you with Legendary Marks. Check in your Quest tracker to see which ones.

Dismantling year-two purple armour and weapons gives you Legendary Marks. You get three from an unlevelled item and 4-5 from a levelled item.

There are also a few videos on farming for legendary marks.

Got to light level 257. Just need legendaries gloves and I'm good, just need to keep leveling up the ones I have already. Legendary marks aren't as difficult to get as initially thought. It's time consuming sure but not overly hard.

Good looks to thepromisedland thepromisedland as we ran everything together since 9am and just got off other than a quick breakfast at ~1pm

We got our legendary swords too :smokin

Trying to get TMT raid ready lol. My warlock is around the same levels as your Titan and my hunter isn't far behind I figure he'll be ready after today.

I'm really trying to hit this night fall tho I want one of these new exotics, there's a few people on my friends list with the jade rabbit, the hereafter snipe, and that arc auto rifle

These cutscene have me engaged ... where was this for year one

Cayde lol

Warlock with chidori is super fun

Cayde is definitely the lulz in his cut scenes.

I need to come across a good weapons and a chest piece and gloves. I am sitting around 215 or so light without those 2 piece so I should be there soon hopefully.
