shottadru my 3rd HM but first time finishing oryx. I actually got comfy last week but we got trolled a few times and they finished it in the middle of the night. Last night was pretty chill for me. Dudes were mad chill and helpful.

Anyone light level in the 100's that's down to play? Xb1? All yall are too powerful for me lmao. I couldn't join any missions or raids today.

Hey, even if you don't play with us that night, you can join the party as long as we aren't in a raid (we b concentrating).

We can at least inspect your player and tell you what's good.

At the end of the day tho, you need to finish the whole campaign. Doing crucible in between (and the bounties) will raise your level and help the missions become easier.

You should also be able to do strikes I think. Not the heroic or nightfall, but the lower level playlists. It's matchmaking so you won't be rolling solo.

Once you hit level 40, you can start working on the actual light level.

Destiny takes time. You can't just pick it up and be an all star unfortunately.

You weren't in a party, either. 

Yea, I was playing with another NT member last night (Forget his NT username) so he played some mission on Mars with me.

Yea, I can do strikes, I did both on Earth already.

OK, I'll work on leveling up, then. So bounties and crucible level you up faster than missions, right?

It's no way possible that you will be able to contribute to the hard raid yet.

And yes, doing the daily activities (crucible and heroic daily) will get you legendary marks which you can use to buy higher level gear (you might not be eligible for them yet) and doing the vanguard and crucible bounties reward you with experience which gets your level up.

Daily Crucible is on the main dashboard when you are ready to set your destination. You should see four icons. Weekly Crucible,Daily Crucible,Daily Story and Weekly Nightfall

Make plans on getting all three exotic swords start with The Arc FIRST.

Start researching the Touch of Malice. Only collect Calcified Fragments on one character.

You Will also need a High impact Sniper. The Gunsmith is selling Eireen RR4 . Vanguard sales 1000 yard stare for 150 legendary marks.

These three items are so crucial in your gaming experience.

When you are in the menus and you are on the page where you can see all your bounties and quests....if you go to the bottom, you will see your reputation levels with each of the vendors.

You can only be with one faction at a time between Dead Orbit, Future War Cult, and New Monarchy, but you can still earn reputation with:

Vanguard (PvE),

Crucible (PvP),

Cryptarch (opening engrams with him),

Gunsmith (going to him and trying out the test weapons and getting the requirements with each of them),

House of Judgement (Prison of Elders),

Queen's Wrath (Petra and killing Fallen & Taken) and

Iron Banner (monthly PvP event that lasts for 1 week and resets).

You will have to test weapons he has to raise your rank with him. He will give you free weapons as you raise your rank. Also he will sale you legendary weapons for 2500 glimmer.

It is all good. It is just a lot to take in at once yea. My friends always look at me crazy when they ask about something in Destiny and normally follow it up with..."thats why I dont play it." 

It is definitely one of those "you have to play it, to get it" games. 

Just keep doing quests, bounties, decrypting the engrams and stuff and you will earn the rep with them. The rest of it, you will pick up the more you play and see how it goes.

Yea, I felt just as clueless when I first played Fallout. Then I got it downpacked and everything made sense.

When you put up numbers on the board like I do, people just tend to want to take any chance they can to be the adviser to the greatest. But yea, I'll get to 40. And don't put time limits on me with dedication, like I said, IT'S LONELY AT THE TOP. And it's only "pause" if you think gay. So you gay.

But all in all, thanks for all of the helpful posts. Even though it came out of the blue, and after Big helped me, cause I was definitely talking to myself for a while.
