Destiny Thread (Bungie) - 9/9/14

Looks like this is my curtain call... It's time to call it quits bros.

I will probably be raiding a couple more times with each character and I'm hanging up my legendaries and exotics for good. Regardless of the grind, this was the funnest game I've ever played in my life. But I kinda don't like the direction Bungie is heading with it and also, I just don't have the time to invest anymore.

To the NT FAM that I gamed with, ya'll made this experience dope as hell... And I appreciate you all. :nthat:

Real life has been pretty dope for me too... My record for betting this week alone is like 8-1 so I've decided to focus more on that. :smokin

To ensure that I never come back, once I'm done raiding I will equip the best loadouts for each character and delete the game from my hard drive.

For everyone that will continue to play and fight the good fight... NEVER LOSE YOUR LIGHT & STAND TALL GUARDIANS. :nthat: :nthat: :nthat:

Damn AllChem really is fading to black. You said the other night with us that you were raiding one more week and that was it. You going through with it I see...good on you

I grabbed that Target B2G1 deal this week, and got Fallout 4, CoD, and 2k, so I will probably start slowly incorporating those games into my rotation some and not solely just do Destiny.
 
Also, shocked nobody talking about the Weekly update...

- Patch comes out next week to be able to buy weapon parts

- Iron Banner back next week......it is CLASH instead of Control!

- You can get an artifact from rank 3 & a ghost from rank 5

- Rep increased in IB by 20% per game.

Fallout, CoD, 2k, Battlefront, Halo, and I think GoW is coming soon as well. I will log in to raid on Tuesdays and do a NF or 2, but the break in the same thing being played in our PS/XBs should be a welcomed change. Just so we don't all burn out. 

It happens everytime in between DLCs and stuff. The real test will be when/if/how many people get the DLC when it drops.

Fallout in plastic still

I aint even cop Fifa yet man smh.

Right now Ive been playing COD and Tomb Raider, I still have Unchartered to play also. Next year is going to be even crazier for next gen man.

I opened and put the discs in for CoD and Fallout but haven't played them yet. I did it just to get the updates installed since they both had one on launch day (Fallout was like 768mb and CoD was....2.6GB?!

I was cleaning my Xbox HD the other day, new COD is like 50+ gigs its crazy.

I installed the new Tomb Raider the other night when I copped. I am like 77% done with the first one.

I am excited for the Bloodborne DLC this month, PS heads hit me on party chat!
 
I was running crucible with a new set of Ahamkara Spines last night and noticed they leveled up VERY slowly. This all makes sense now.


Over the past couple days I've been wondering how much it takes to level up gear. After doing multiple tests and using DestinyStatus.com, the first circle on Legendary Boots only takes 5,058 XP to fill it in. Which went in line with most of my testing I did when I used Motes of Light AND turning in bounties. So, here we go to the reason why I am making this post.
Feeling pretty frustrated, I then started testing how much a Mote of Light gives, they give 1,000 XP.

I then popped a Focused Light Boost (Red Bull Code 50% increase), so that would mean now a Mote of Light = 1,500 XP. I tested it on a Kingslayer Shell and it did in fact jump to 1,500 XP when I refreshed the page.

With a Focused Light popped, I then had to use 44  Motes of Light exactly to fully upgrade my boots. For a total of 66,000 XP  just on Motes of Light.

Making it a grand total of 157,750 XP  used to level up ONE  single piece of gear. SURELY there has to be something wrong here. It shouldn't take 3 days worth of bounties to level up 1 piece of gear, that's completely insane.

Are the bounties "bugged" where some are not giving their CORRECT pay out of XP or not giving it at all? Either way, where did all the XP go?

EDIT #1 :  I just did another test. I completed a 2,500 XP Bounty. I made sure I only had on ONE piece of gear (Boots). I turned in the Bounty and the FULL 2,500 XP was applied to my Light Level Up Bar (for the 5 motes) and only 500  was applied to the Boots. There is something clearly wrong here OR they have nerfed how much XP is applied. Either way, this was never brought up by Bungie.

EDIT #2 :  In one more test, Motes of Light XP (1,000 or 1,500) are FULLY  applied to said piece of armor/weapon.

They doing us dirty mang....

Yeah I was wondering what was up when it took like 30-40 motes to level a vanguard ghost.

Bungie turning into grimey *** Tai from Money and Violence lol

Yea I saw this the other day and all I could do was

Completely absurd to take that long to level up one piece of gear. Meanwhile a weapon takes like 8-12/15 if you have a telemetry or class piece with the boost on it.
