Is another Cold War with Russia inevitable?

Russia was doing what it wanted under GWB as well. Anyone remember when Russia invaded Georgia?

that did not happen. You're parroting mainstream news bs. That '08 Daily News cover was pure propaganda. Georgia was the instigator in the conflict when it invaded Russian-backed autonomous South Ossetia region.

All in all, however, I think the nature of war has changed fundamentally since WW2. Wars can't really be "won" especially via conquest anymore. In a globalized world with internet, even world powers cannot conquer with force e.g. Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq etc. The real battles are fought via economic policies, sanctions, etc.

Is something bound to happen within the next few years?

What would America especially the Neo Conservatives in Washington do if Russia established bases in Canada and/or Mexico though with armed nuclear weapons... oh wait we already know the answer to that! JFK almost launch nukes because of the Cuban missile crisis!

I mean just look at this map and tell me how the American war machine isn't provoking Russia to defend it's borders and allies?

Even an NTer in this thread confirmed what the US is all about!

I don’t think you guys underestimate what the US military is fully capable of. We have learned from WW1 and WW2. We will overwhelm you. Why do you think we have bases all over the world? Why do you think we are so heavy in Europe and Asia? Why do you think the Navy is refocusing manpower in Asia and Southwest Asia!
