Why is youtube recommending videos to me?

I do not have a youtube account nor am I signed into any google accounts. I have my preferences set to never remember history and to clear cookies when I exit my browser but for some reason youtube is recommending all these gaming/ movie review channels. Even craigslist, who used to ask what state/ city I was searching in is now pre selected to my current city. I double checked my settings and they have not been changed. Anyone know what is going on/ how to remedy this issue?

They do it to me too. It will tell me a video has been "watched" and it will be something from months ago. I damn near never sign into youtube/google on my pc and my browsers don't save any history. I was already aware that they were tracking us regardless, but it's just funny when it's so obvious.

Is it stuff you could see yourself watching?

Or related to stuff you see? You into gaming? Movies? u search for that?
If so..
they got you... im afraid its too late

If not its just promotion/ "recommendations"

Now just think:  If that's what they show you that they know about you, what kind of stuff do you think they know about you that they don't show you?

Have you tried manually clearing your history and quitting Firefox? I'm on a Mac, and when I clear my history without closing the app, if I go on Google, I can still see my past searches. I have to quit out of the browser completely after clearing the history for it to go away.

how to remedy this issue?

Find a new browser and don't use any Google service. Most sites/services track this stuff though. Even NT/Huddler.
