thinking about copping a condo...

Look at the schools though

A 5, 2 and a 3 out of ten?

I guess it depends on your preference, but I rather invest in a home that is in a great school district. I want that equity to rise especially if I know I am not going to want to live there forever.

Here's an article in regards to this

You must not be from Dallas. I get what you're saying, but generally none of the condos in downtown are zoned to great schools. People with kids in Dallas aren't trying to live downtown.

There are townhomes/single-family homes outside of the city center (Lakewood for example) that aren't far from the city that are zoned to good schools.

I get what you're saying tho...but he's looking at a CONDO not a home..there's a market for condos in Dallas. (Young professionals, single or couples with no kids) Especially with the prices rising in Uptown

yeah...

Because a man, woman, and two kids are looking to live in a small downtown condo with no yard and hobos everywhere.

Instead of the 3000 sq feet homes in Frisco.

Come on, bruh.

Know a little about the area first...

mortgage around 500 a month? :wow:
hoa fees would bring it to around 900...

But yeah mane...

I'm looking at a little cheaper though... 100k to 130k...

Even outside of downtown like deep ellum or Ross/live oak/Gaston/peak area (old east Dallas)

Deep ellum would be dope...

Ya'll folks know any promising, economical, good areas for condos/townhomes in the DMV that isn't PG county?

Man wtf am I asking, nvm, I know the answer.

Look at NE DC right now. Or down by the Nats stadium. Up and coming. Real estate will grow in value in the future.

Oh nah, the boat for investment in that area is passed. And my fam worked in that area, i've flourished off some thots in that area that I no longer ever want to see. You can see the hood from your new gentrified condo, see the robberies, get robbed yourself etc.

Look out in parts of PWC. Sections like Bristow/Haymarket/Gainesville, IMO, will see a huge boom in the economy much like Loudoun did a few years back. The only problem is the commute to DC. If you have someone who can ride w/ you so you can take the HOV it's manageable....if you're riding solo....good luck.

Aww hell no. I swear the DC area is gonna be down to Richmond in a few years.

People moving further and further away from DC because of the cost....**** I just saw that there is a man who commutes to the DOJ from Richmond every day. 4 hours total!! **** is insane. I might make a thread of it later.

I know someone now who does that exact commute everyday. But I will say when I lived in PG, on the worst days commute would be 4 hrs total anyways. But I can't imagine struggling through that 95 rush hour traffic, then still having more to go.

That is ridiculous. I thought I had it bad being an hour from work in MD. I'm only 20 min away now :pimp:

But yeah make a thread.

NE is getting hotter...but SW near Nats Stadium isn't any better for affordability...they are redeveloping the entire SW waterfront and prices are already high enough...i know a few well paid lawyers who are leaving that area because its too much...

*theres also a lot of nice properties East of the River that can be had for cheap, and I known a few people who have moved to those areas, but most people won't even consider because of its reputation it once carried...

i don't even know what I'm talking about anymore
