adidas tech super & reebok ventilator - women only colorways?

This adidas Tech Super came out earlier this year. The article I saw didn't say anything special, so it was an unpleasant surprise when I found out it was women's only.

I just saw this Reebok Ventilator today - it reminded me of the Tech Super. The article didn't say anything special, but I went looking & was disappointed to see that it's women only too.

I wonder if the Reebok & adidas designers designers work together or if this is just coincidence.

This is by far the best Ventilator I've seen in a long time. Some of you dudes with ****** feet could probably squeeze into them.

Reebok is owned by adidas, so there may very well be some sort of connection, but probably not.
