Week 2 Week In Review (WIR)

Giants:

- We need to win the next game, that it
- Nobody stepping up and the person I least expect to ***** and moan is Cruz. Just play son!

NFL:
- Did not expect the Bears to win but glad the beat the 9ers.
- Cutler x Marsh :x
- How the Jets blow that lead?! :smh:
- Jordy :pimp:
- Pats Defense :x
- RG3 is Done. Watch the offense start to click under Cousins.
- Midas well start JJ at tight end. He can do anyting
- Cam :pimp: :pimp:

what did I miss on carr why CP and Chester keep calling him out  raider fans hyping him up?

Actually, no, Raider fans have been fine with Carr as far as I can tell.

Eagle fans, on the other hand, love them some Carr. They LOVE lettin the world know about Carr. Mike, have you seen Derek Carr? He's going to be special boy, let them tell you, he is the one. Neo, himself. Derek Carr makes Joe Montana wish he coulda learned from ol Derek Carr. Yep, Derek Screen Pass Carr is as good as they say, let me tell ya.

Raiders.

Where are the gifs when Kap Stares down his WR and throws it to the safety? I'm sure They'res plenty to choose from

- Bengals put together a pretty complete performance yesterday. Pretty dominant on both sides of the LOS. Dalton missed a few throws, but no TOs and he didn't lock in on receivers.

- Gio and Jeremy Hill is going to be trouble for teams to deal with.

- Liked seeing other receivers step up with AJ, Marvin, and Eifert out.

- Secondary was great. Don't even think Dennard and Kirkpatrick saw 5 snaps from scrimmage combined, which speaks to how good Pac Man, Terrence Newman, and Leon Hall have played.

- Conversely, Atlanta struggled in all facets of the game. They couldn't protect Ryan and  struggled to get pressure on Dalton. Hard to win a game when you struggle on both sides of the LOS. They really just didn't look that good at all.

- Resilient win by Chicago, but equally blundering L by the 9ers.

- Steelers/Ravens was brutal. Neither team was impressive for the most part.

Y'all look really good. Just hope AJ isn't out for too long. That running game :x Need to see Cincy steal some of those Sproles/Thomas plays that New Orleans ran the last few years... with Gio and Hill, they'd be $$$

Sounds like he won't be out long, if anything. We have the Titans at home this week and then a bye. Hope they sit him so he gets two weeks off. Then we get AJ and Marvin back for SNF @ Foxboro.

Texans

- Beat two crappy teams but they beat them convincingly.
- The road to MM8 becomes a bit tougher

NFL
- If Andy Dalton doesn't hold them back, they could very well make it the the SB ( early I know)
- Jay Cutler got hit, and said **** this
- I hope RG3 doesn't have one of those careers where we're all wondering what if...
- Raiders are worse than I they thought they would be
- Buffalo is a nice surprise early on
- Cowboys defense not as bad as I thought they would be, we'll see how the season plays out

texans -

-2-0 feels good, but it's a long season with a lot of things to work out
-fitpatrick so far not making mistakes. we're just pounding the rock and making him manage the game. BOB trying to keep him in safe situations :pimp:
-defense has been very opportunistic forcing fumbles, still giving up too many yards though.
-JJ Watt got doubled teamed all game long, and it wasn't until late that we started getting pressure from elsewhere. need clowney back healthy because Watt can't do it by himself, even if sometimes it seems like he can. TD catch too :pimp:
-didn't see anything that special in carr. he looked decent, but not as great as people made him out to be.

Other games i saw or caught substantial pieces of:
cowboys-titans
-romo not being 100% might be a blessing in disguise. about time they found more balance and let demarco run the ball 25+ times.
-jake locker stinks

seahawks-chargers
-richard sherman not talking with the media was kind of silly. he didn't get embarrassed or have a bad game really, he gave up some catches, like every other corner does. not a big deal.
-gates with the throwback performance.
-russell wilson played the role of game manager, AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THAT. he did enough to keep his team in it, and did enough not to be the reason they lost. i was disappointed in the coaching staff not really opening up the playbook, but that's their offense. play defense, run the ball, not turn it over. he's a solid player, i just don't think he's elite.

49ers-bears
-felt like SF got too cute with it. you got hogs on that o-line, just run it down their throats. that's how they got the lead. then up 17-0 that want kaep to start slinging it all over and the bears made them pay.
-cutler gets a lot of slander on here, but i like the guy. took a HUGE hit, and came right back from it and played a good 4th quarter.
-way too many penalties :x

green bay - nyj
-if the rule is only the head coach can call a TO, if you're not the HC, don't call timeout. that simple. had the result of the dead play been an incompletion or INT, i don't think there would be much complaining.
-the jets front 7 is nice (do better mo wilk :smh: ) the packers defense looks same old same old. o-line looks horrendous.
-jordy :wow:
-geno looked good early, and it looked to crumble late. the non TD was a really good throw and catch too. oh well.

didn't catch any of the other games.

- Cowboys defense not as bad as I thought they would be, we'll see how the season plays out

Wait until a real QB comes to town. That'll be the big test. I think they get Brees after St. Louis next week.

Their schedule is gonna allow em to improve week to week as they don't really face upper echelon guys before the bye.

They have St. Louis, NO, Houston, Seattle, NYG, Washington, AZ & Jax before.

Not saying they're all wins outside of NO/Seattle but just give them a chance to come together a little better as a unit. That's Hill, Fitz, Eli, Cousins/RG3, Carson/Stanton and Henne/Bortles.

After they bye they get Eli out the gate but then it's Foles, Cutler, Foles, Luck then (gonna assume) Cousins.

I still think that's one of the worst defense of the last decade when it's all said and done though.

Masterful gameplan by Phil Rivers and Frank Reich, dominant performance.

Gates still got it
sick.gif

26 penalties in the game last night and that's not counting all of the ones that were waved off/offset. :x

I understand what the league is trying to do, but it got to the point of being silly. There are something like 24 more flags being thrown (on average) each week compared to last year. :smh:

Gates and Rivers were on another level yesterday :smh:
Sherman ignoring the Media :smh:
Mariners wetting the bed :smh:
Darrell Bevell is still our OC :smh:

At least Oregon didn't disappoint me

Sackorpick :smokin
Cutler leading my FF team to victory :smokin
Browns beating the Aints :smokin
suRG3ry

I wish I was a fan of a good football team. Sundays would be so much more enjoyable.

Now to rub salt in the womb everybody gets to watch my pathetic *** team on national tv on Thursday at Atlanta.

Few more losses and I'm just gonna watch Oregon, Florida State and UCLA games for the rest of the year.
