DJ Premier & Royce Da 5'9" "PRhyme 2"(March 16)2nd single - Rock It

Just finished listening and I am very impressed. Gotta give it a few more spins but Royce definitely brought it lyrically and Preem did his things as expected.

I thought the features were actually good and well executed.

Standouts for me were the track with Common and From Me to You with Jay Electroinica. Slaughterhouse track to end the album is dope. This is a very good project.....after a few more plays I will give my final rating but I think many will be pleased with this.
 
Premo's production sounds reinvigorated. Sampling Adrian Yong was a wise decision.
 
I'm blown away after my first listen. Every and I mean every guest verse is GREAT. Royce is Royce all the way through. What can I say about Preem. I really think this is some of his best stuff in a while.

That Jay Electronica verse made me so mad. Someone kidnap this dude and make him rap for us.

This is something I know a lot of fans were looking forward to for years, and I feel like it lived up to that hype.

Well done.

spun it twice. This is def the hardest release of the year.  Not the most cohesive album compared to some others but damn, they came through and exceeded my expectations.

Y'all coming on here with the same type of opinions cemented it for me.

This and RTJ2 will hold me down for a while.
 
royce & premier have such a great chemistry on tracks man, we've been needing a project like this since rock city & death is certain & they really came through & delivered big time.

royce was consistent the whole project lyrically & premier was able to take his classic style & make it even more polished. the adrian younge influence seemed to be a great touch.

the features on here fit perfectly into what was being done... every feature had its place. jay electronica still continues to torture us with these great verses only to disappear on us for who knows how long :lol: :smh:

that beat switch on wishin is vicious :x :x :smokin

I agree with everything here. Project is straight flames! I almost wish they had added about 3 more tracks and it was a bit longer but I love it for what it is. IMO this is the best hip-hop project released this year.

I had high expectations for this album and thought I was going to be disappointed because of that... I was wrong, this is :smokin
