NTWT WWE Night of Champions PPV Prediction Contest Results
  • 72 entrants
  • 500 total possible points
  • 201 average score (one of our lowest ever)
  • Everyone received 10 points for the Roman Reigns appearing on the PPV question, whether you selected Yes or No.
  • I did not count the Seth Rollins 10 Count "victory" over Roman Reigns as a match.  The brawl between Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose was also not a match.  There were 7 official matches on the PPV.
  • 26% correctly predicted 7 matches
  • 7% correctly predicted 3 title changes
  • 31% correctly predicted The Usos (c) v Gold and Stardust as the PPV opener
  • 39% correctly predicted Sheamus would beat Cesaro
  • 8% correctly predicted miz would defeated Dolph Ziggler (@Meangene45  did not predict miz)
  • 75% correctly predicted Gold and Stardust would defeat The Usos
  • 81% correctly predicted Rusev would defeat Mark Henry (surprised only 81%)
  • 90% correctly predicted Orton would defeat Jericho
  • 11% correctly predicted Brie Bella would not interfere in the Divas match
  • 15% correctly predicted AJ Lee would leave as Divas Champion
  • 8% correctly predicted John Cena would wear camo shorts
  • 39% correctly predicted Brock would hit 3-5 German Suplexes
  • 3% correctly predicted John Cena would hit 4 AA's
  • 11% correctly predicted someone would get physically involved in the match (surprised only 11%)
  • 15% correctly predicted John Cena would defeat Brock Lesnar (he won via DQ)
  • 93% correctly predicted Seth Rollins would NOT cash in MITB (surprised more didn't think he would cash in)
With 300 points, congratulations to our Night of Champions PPV Prediction Contest Winner: @IMASOLEMAN18.  Just as with the overall average, 300 is one of the lowest winning scores in history, but it just means it was a difficult PPV to predict.

One of these days I will get the Payback and MITB scores updated which will also let me update the overall standings.  Soon...

After weeks of anticipation, fans are tuning into tonight to finally see the big confrontation...

WILL NIKKI BELLA ATTACK JJ BELLA (or is it Garcia) AFTER THE SHOCKING REVELATION WHEN HE SIDED WITH BRIE LAST WEEK!??!?

Seriously, let us pray Night of Champions is the end of this Bella bull****.  Although, with Total Divas having just kicked off, I don't think it is going anywhere anytime soon.

The actual big news is that Brock Lesnar, our WWE World Heavyweight Champion, is returning to Raw tonight to confront John Cena before their match this Sunday.  The booking certainly has me scared that Cena is winning the title on Sunday, and if Brock leaves Cena laying tonight, I will be petrified.

The rest of the Night of Champions card is very underwhelming.  The two other big matches are Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho and Roman Reigns vs Seth Rollins.  Sunday is likely Jericho's last night in WWE for this current run, so you have to think Orton is going over.  Although, RVD did beat Orton in his last night in the company a few years back, so you never know.  And for Reigns vs Rollins, I don't feel a ton of heat.  The Rollins and Ambrose feud was much, much hotter.  I expect Ambrose to return at the PPV and cost Rollins the match to allow their program to continue.

As for the other title matches, we have Sheamus defending his United States Title vs Cesaro which should be an excellent match.  We have miz defending his Intercontinental Title against Dolph Ziggler in one I'm not very excited for.  Paige is putting the Divas Title on the line in a three way against AJ Lee and Nikki Bella.  Why the hell isn't Brie involved?  And finally, the Usos are defending the tag titles against the Dust Brothers.  And we have Rusev vs Mark Henry.  It certainly isn't the most inspiring card, but anytime Brock is wrestling, I will tune in.

Tonight kicks off Mexican Independence Day in the city, so I will not be able to watch Raw tonight.

The Night of Champions PPV Prediction Contest will be posted on Friday.

well, the last 3 RAWs have been either abysmal or completely skippable.

so i'm looking forward to getting blazed and enjoying a great go-home show.

or...... WWE can WWE and sell subcribers to renewing their subscriptions by having another mediocre show less than one week before a major PPV for the network.

Anyone else see the Styles/O'reilly match from ROH TV this week? nerd.gif

O'reilly is up there in the wrestler of the year candidates for me.

Will do.

Any other matches from the last 3 ppv's worth watching?

Read that Orton is frustrated and wants time off soon.

Rollins and Jeans try to catch their affairs. Watch Brock wash Cena and listen to Bill Simmons's daughter cheering Cena. There's more others remember.

Rollins/Reigns has been very underwhelming. Would be shocked if Ambrose wasn't back either on Sunday or next week's Raw...

Watching until MNF starts, have missed most of the last two weeks. Apparently, that isn't a bad thing...
