Seeing how there's a bunch of people now getting into/ customizing Asics, I figure this would be a good place to share photos or ask any questions.

That being said, i'm very new to this and thought I would customize a pair for the hell of it....... It was a complete disaster

I went for a red devil - esque approach and turns out the Angelus red suede and acryllic leather paint came out to be two different shades ( the suede looks purple).

Just wondering if anyone knew any fix to this? Is there a way to strip off the suede dye or use the acyllic on the red? or should I just cut my losses and paint it all black.

Hopefully this doesn't get lost in the sea of threads. Any input would be appreciated, thanks

Your best bet is to paint the acrylic part a darker shade to match the suede. Dying suede will almost always come out a different color than a painted leather part because of the original suede color. Do not use acrylic paint over the suede as it will harden the suede.

Hopefully I can start customizing by next year...I have some good ideas currently
